That was my first guess as well. According to the installer they weren't, but I don't know.

More threads showing, i.e. more compressed coil, goes on driver side.

Thanks. I'll check tonight. Not sure it will matter since they maxed out the driver's side coil to level it out.

Im not sure how they maxed it out… but one option would be to lower the passenger side until it’s a little lower.
Can you share a few pics here of your truck and the coils? Or did you and I missed/don’t remember?
I checked and see you shared a few in the rear but none from the front.

I believe it is just a 3rd gen issue so far…

I’ve had mine installed since August and no issues with the bolt hitting the gas tank and, like yours, I have plenty of room too from the gas tank to the bolt. I have the MediumLoad (0 - 440lbs additional payload).

    Negative. Crickets.

Also waiting to get quotes back from the dealerships I'd reached out to on tank replacement.

Not happy I haven't heard anything from IM but it is what it is at this point.

Probably need to email them or call. I’ve not gotten a response back through Instagram yet either.

I thought about calling but working for the gub'ment I live by the motto "if it ain't written down it didn't happen".

Also thought I might wait until I get the quotes back so I have something to refer to when I talk to them.

You’re definitely spot on with that motto. Makes sense to see when you get a quote or two back as well.
I took a look and didn’t find anything about doing repairs to the fuel tank either.

Can't say I blame you... depending on how this pans out I just might end up being the crotchety old man that makes it his life's mission to steer folks away from IM. Not a whole lot a consumer can do in these situations and the companies know it. Let's be honest: They can tell me to kick rocks and my only recourse would be small claims court which ain't even worth taking the time off work if I do the math. They have zero motivation to make this right apart from building themselves an upstanding reputation. All we can do at this point is maintain holding pattern and see what kind of people / company they are.

Hopefully they come back with a resolution, this seems like it's more than an isolated incident.

Might want to throw in warranty request too- https://ironman4x4america.com/warranty/

Maybe you’ll get a faster response and I’m sure they’re tracked differently than emails, possibly with time periods for follow up.

Just got this response back. I'm not sure what they mean about "sound proof covering" . . . far as I know that's the tank itself that's gouged. Can't crawl under the truck until I get home from work.

In any case, we'll hopefully see what they mean by "a more solid answer" in a day or so.

I'm attaching this photo here so I can send it to them:

I didn’t think there was any covering either… I even watched a video of a 2nd Gen tank replacement since I thought they were the same and it didn’t look like they were anything other than solid piece. I’m not sure who to ask… maybe @Jeff Lange do you know if the fuel tanks have a sound deadening material on the outside of the fuel tank?
Maybe find someone that had their tank drilled and ask if they saw how thick it was…

Definitely a good idea to have a documented email to them, but I'd also call. Without a doubt you'd get answers quicker that way. Just record it if need be. I learned from my divorce lawyer to record everything, and it paid off :D

Hopefully they cover the gas tank too.

Sadly Commiefornia is a two party consent state. I've had places hang up / refuse to talk to me when I tell them I'm recording.

Only way I can get away without telling them I'm recording is if their automated answering message tells me it may be recorded in which case I say to my recording "I also consent to this call being recorded" before the human gets on the line :D
