I don't think I'd use Dirt Lifestyle as a point of reference.....
9" bump stops and claiming 24" of wheel travel on vertically mounted 16" coilovers is pushing it.

I've already kicked mine ha. I'd rather shin a hitch before doing that again. Had to trim the wings down for the 35's and remove the previous owner's "custom" front hitch though. Any leads on a cheap offset fairlead? everyone wants gold for a hunk of steal makes me want to respool the winch with steel cable and run a standard roller.

just a couple of things tbh
ya the 6 studs overall isnt bad if you dont do lots of winch pulls or bounce off the bumper but it will lead to failure like for my truck two of them are bent and two studs are snapped off and i even had frame braces... ill fix it eventually when i get something made for my truck but i also plan to cut the lower rad support off and tuck it up a little higher to get a different angle.

ya its been sitting in the basement with no use for it lol its to heavy for what i want anymore

not really gleaming reference but more the concept. Not a fan of the 3rd gen he built but it will currently out do my 373k hunk-o-shite. Wish i had sponsors throwing $20k worth of parts at me I'd sell out too.

The ARB is heavy as well. almost scared to install a winch on it. made me feel like a punk just trying to slide in into my bed from the guys truck at purchase. my mounts were tweaked from the prior owner side swiping a guard rail so currently only 4 of those 6 studs are actually holding my bumper up. eventually i want to knock them all out, cut the plate off and start fresh with 1/4" as it will be much stronger. but I need to stop throwing money at this one and get the other one running again before i steal more parts off of it.

Cutting the rad support? find a wider radiator to handle the displacement or...? I've been lucky and seen these things get hot but shut down before warping, not sure I'd want to risk it with less coolant. that was a scare for sure.

ya they are i helped a buddy years ago take one off his fj to fix something and those things are nuts i wouldnt want one lol

and its that little bar below the radiator it might not be exactly the rad support but something thats connected to it that your ifs skid will bolt to you cut that off and weld in a new bar up higher to get more clearance

I didn't pay mind to the rear suspension because in all honesty I like the simplicity and strength of leafs. when I swap the 9.5 elocker under the back I'll probably commit many sins for putting leaf purches on it in the eyes of the IH8MUD community. But to counter his 9in bump stops, I haven't solved the problem doing a U-Bolt flip and planning to retain airbags on my truck so currently my 5125's are my bump stops,

That bar is only maybe an inch thick in the middle? not worth the effort to me but cool lets see it when its done maybe i'm wrong. but yea we're talking about the same part.

That’s also somewhat temp. He’s gotta redo the rear end anyway since it’s 7” narrower than the front lol I think he said he’s doing a Currie 9”

Hey whatever tickles your pickle my guy. I would be interested to see what idea this is so go for it if you can. If i hadn't dumped $3k in the buy back I'd have that plus the $1800 in frame work and other parts to just sas the red one I have. But no regrets because as soon as i don't have to offroad in a stick, the better! fuck this clutch slipping bs lol I want to be lazy again.

If I was buying a bumper it would be ARB. Or possibly victory 4x4. But I don’t really need a bumper. But if I hit another deer I’m getting one
