with as strong as they are I'm shocked he didn't want to keep the clearance an 8in gives, but Currie is a good brand and I have no idea what I'm talking about since I've yet to kill a diff or do a major swap like that. did my first engine rebuild last year and it lasted only 65miles (darn 22re POS) but pretty sure thats due to oil throwing off my head bolt torque

 

overall my idea is a prerunner setup thats light and simple but will be strong enough for what i do these days which is more exploring kinda tired of tearing my truck up that keeps falling apart or having more and more issues....

bruh the 22re is an amazing engine its how you did the rebuild most likely because i had a 22re and it was great i had no issues besides a timing chain

 

You could just build that yourself too..

 

overall this is part of the idea and to make something like this and put my winch in the center i plan to have tubes that go up the sides and back to add strength and some quick release locations for the bumper to clip on since i dont really have a true way to hold my bumper in place now with the glass fenders so atm they are zipties on lol

 

..how did you have issues with a timing chain. They never have issues

 

the guide snapped on mine so it threw it out of time but overall it was an easy thing and was worth it because it had a few small leaks here and there so we replaced a lot of gaskets and other things on it then after that i had no issues besides the idle surge that sometimes plagues those engines

If I’m gonna bother, it’s gonna be a full plate bumper or at least a hybrid

or better yet a full bumper with the roo bars (fender bars that come back to sliders)
