Haven’t ran that one. I’m up in northern AZ in the mountains. But push it out to the fall when it starts cooling down down there and I know of some technical trails to hit up

Ran Turkey Claw a few times last week and it was cake. When I did it with the Sherpa team I got halfway through before I realized I hadn't locked my center diff haha (Subaru mode). Also came down Resolution with your boy Noah, which was fun. Def wanna do some more wheeling with him in the future. Had to lock up both diffs at one point going down a steep hill. Going up would be tough with our breakover angle.

I really want to give it a go. Walked it at KOH last weekend and I think I see a line on the left side, but I could be completely wrong haha. Only one way to find out. You heading out there anytime soon? I'm about 2 hr drive from JV. I got a taste of those trails but need me some more.

I've got my truck pulled apart for a rear 4 link, hopefully I'll have it running by the end of February. I'll let you know when I've got it together.

Damn! Looks badass. Been following your build for a while, would be cool to see it in person and do some wheeling.

How wide is your rear? I don’t think I can clear the frame with the coilovers so I’m cutting it out as I build a bed. Looks like you’ve got room, maybe more so being mounted to the trailing arms?

those aren’t my upper links, it’s just an optical illusion haha also not fully drooped on the right side, still six inches down travel left so it’d be even closer to the frame.

    Yes
Isn't your tire going to be hitting something before your axle ever hit the bumps frenched in that high ?

It's a custom width axle, it's a little over 2" wider on each side. I'll end up with a 40in tire rubbing the bypass slightly at full articulation.

Went into it thinking everything would clear, set up a bunch of things around that belief......then realized there wasn't any chance of full clearance without notching the frame and a bunch of other changes, then came the shit show of modifying a bunch of things that were already modified. If I had known nothing would properly clear I would have back halfed it. :frusty:

Yeah I'm basically copying @Tacoma1192 set up on his brothers truck. They had plenty of clearance, but there's just too many small differences between mine and his brothers truck and they all were biased against me having sufficient clearance

Man ain’t that the truth. Once I put my wheel on and stuffed it I knew the frame was gonna have to go haha. I’m just on 35x12.5” stock axle 2” spacers. I want to keep it narrow with my JD LT.

I would have had a much easier go not triangulating the lowers, too. I have a spaghetti of tubes under there now, but nothing hangs lower than the crossmembers and nothing is on the frame rails and I’ve got nice long linky poos so I guess that’s something to show for it haha no idea where to run an exhaust

Yep, Turkey Claw is a cake walk if you want it to be, but can definitely get rowdy if you want it to. My way too low belly got hung up on a couple of the optional lines. Going down Resolution was a blast. Had to keep my rear locked basically the whole time, which is crazy when going down. Broke a CV on the first obstacle of chocolate and just turned around to replace it at camp haha. If it wasn’t during KOH week I would have played around longer and found a way up. It’s rough, but nothing insane
