@Tour991 do you have any drivers side rear vent window for an extra cab?

My buddy has a 00 Xtra cab and someone smashed his glass last night in a mall parking lot :( he doesn't keep anything in the truck but he had his lunbox on the passenger seat they just stole that

You tend to push the rotary subject, a lot.

    Have you ever owned one?

I did, for almost 2 years had an FD. Was fun as fuck but fuel mileage was almost as bad as my LC now and maintenance was much more often than I would've liked.

Hell, I always carried Castrol GTX that I'd top off with whenever I filled up on gas.

Buddy of mine that was a marine stationed in Japan bought a RHD rotary something.. it was a track car over there but able to be driven on the streets here after he imported it.

Rebuilding an engine to replace apex seals every 80k miles? Noooo thank you

Boost goes in Apex seals come out...

Honestly a daily-able rotary isn't very much fun because there's no torque and they waste tons of fuel for how small they are, plus they're loud as shit. But one that's boosted to the moon is tons of fun but ultimately not daily-able. It's a paradox.

I have this one on a ditch light mount and it works great.

When I don’t need it, it comes off and gets replaced with an NMO cap.

Huh will you look at that. I've been using the super thick fiberglass antennas with the springs on the bottom.

Oh shit the ditch light mount is a great idea.

There have been a few times where I wanted a CB in the Ford but really don't want to mount the antenna anywhere. There's not a good spot for the radio in the interior either lol

I’d get one of these if space was an issue.

The cable that I have only requires a 3/8 thru hole rather than the 1” or whatever for the full NMO interface. It made mating it to the ditch light mount super easy.

I got 1.1 VSWR at CH 20 and 1.4 at CH 1 and CH 40. It’s pretty sweet.

I worked at a shop that rebuilt them, swapped a few out even did an ls swap

I really liked most about them

Except the radiator/changing out the fans

The rx8s were naturally aspirated which helped simplify and keep things reliable

I think the idea could work for an MR2 because the engines themselves are pretty small and lightweight... you don't need torque to move an MR2 and the torque one has stock moves an rx8 pretty well

I like having my antennas on the roof, but your pretty dedicated to whatever you put in after you drill the holes

    RHD?

    Yep!

I paid a pretty penny for mine but only because he had records of not only the seals being redone, but the rats nest of vacuum lines were all replaced.

It made doing the non-sequential mod super easy without worrying about cracking rotted vacuum lines and all before I went single turbo.

But you're right, not something you'd want to daily drive. My ex knew I wanted to 'be out all night' if I ever took the FD out because I'd drive it maybe once a week.

You'd be able to make one yourself.

I looked them up and places like Rago Fab sell them for a stupid $100 for the tiny thing.

The LC came with one. Can take a pic later if it helps.
