Is this for the bed outlet plug?

Also, do you have a 2nd gen one available?

    Hi Guys,
We have more sockets arriving tomorrow, but @lamjam ‘s call to buy one off Ebay is a good option too. We are limited how many we can buy of the OEM “Socket” outlets at a time. If you check by 5pm EST tomorrow I’ll have the website inventory updated.

@ramonortiz55 the Redside Electric 400W in Motion Harness let’s your bed outlet operate at 400W while in motion instead of kicking down to 100W automatically. I’ve reached out to them to confirm 2nd Gen compatibility. I think it does, but please let me confirm I admittedly forget.

Thanks Dean! I just packed it up and labeled it for you. I’ll drop it in the outbound mail yet tonight.

Installed this today. I had previously done the 400w anytime mod and had to reconnect the wires I had cut. After that the install was straight forward and the wife will be happy to have power in the cab on road trips.

Which location did you install the outlet at?

Same as in your video, but with the manual I was able to but it a little higher in the area where the cup holders are in the automatic.

Thanks for making these, ordered! Now I just need to decide where to put the outlet. I have the outlet and some other trim pieces that I bought a while ago along with a rear seat USB that I still need to install.

Thanks for your order! We’ll have it going in the outbound mail today! I prefer the front passenger footwell, but the rear of the center console is another very popular spot.

Have you been able to confirm compatibility with 2nd gen?

I installed this a few weeks ago. I actually ran the extension under the carpet and mounted the outlet next to the bottlejack. Since I have a cargo platform instead of seats this makes more sense for me. I'll get a picture later

@kmorgan3, is about 90% sure this should work for the 2nd Gen inverter. If you have any issues I’ll happily give you a full refund and free return shipping label. Sorry to make you the test subject for us.

I'm thinking of doing something like this since I already have all the parts. But I might just put the A/C outlet inside the console and the USB outlet behind the console for the kids.

B2ECDF38-71EA-4EF4-B4E9-85A7B57339B3.jpg Installed mine today. Everything was plug and play. Works like a charm. The plastic isn’t thick enough for the outlet to fit tight. A little bead of hot glue around the inside made it solid as a rock.

I've been trying to figure out a solution to make the plug more solid. A plastic doubler/backing plate would be ideal.

Also, looks like you just provided confirmation that it works in 2nd gen.

We could consider including a small square plastic sheet cut to the square to serve 2 purposes. 1) Mark the hole instead of the paper. 2) To place inside and tighten the fit. Did you end up confirming the size with calipers it needs to be thicker?

The AC outlet is definitely made to lock into a thicker panel (no calipers needed). A 3D printed insert modeled after the hole in the T4R bezel would be a good option for a smaller footprint.

I've pretty much decided on this setup to be installed inside the back of the center console. That bezel is designed for a thinner panel and has a spot designed for the AC outlet with thicker sides where the clips are.

None of this is possible without the awesome harness that you offer.

Bezel is P/N 85536-35020, USB is P/N 00016-00225 (SW toyota part kit), A/C plug is 85530-35050-CO

It's definitely cleaner if you use the bezel -- that's how I originally thought we'd sell it. I explored trying to make a plug-and-play add-on for the USB plug in there but all I could think was to plug it into the the cigarette lighter wires and unfortunately there aren't any mating connectors for it. What you could do is use a fuse tap on the hot side and run it to the always-hot slot on the cab fuse panel. There's an empty one on almost all 3rd Gens and I believe it's rated for 20A if I remember @caribe makaira? It's empty, so you theoretically shouldn't be disturbing much. I'm not sure if that's the version that has a backlight, so maybe choose something with keyed power instead.
    Screen Shot 2022-02-10 at 6.02.57 PM.jpg

Ground it using a ring terminal on the bolt you're using to ground the main harness. I considered fancy stackable ring terminals for modularity but ditched it at the last minute. Coulda shoulda woulda.
