I’m blessed with an awesome ortho. guy. Makes braces & forms for all sorts of applications & conditions. Even showed me a full body exoskeleton like thing some poor Lady wears bc of a deteriorating skeletal condition. The guy’s amazing. Never seen sewing machines & gear like that.

In laws gave us an Alexa for Christmas, just got it hooked up last night. Kids like it

 

We use Google smart speakers.

 

Boss man said “I don’t know if you can do anything with this or not”. Challenge accepted.

We have 6 of them. The microphone doesn't pick up half a house away, so we just about have one for each room.

 

Had one in a box for over a year now. No need for it until I enable voice control on the Audio Assault System.

Re: boots

I had 2 pairs of steel toe Wolverines and they both cracked on the side and started letting snow/water in after about 2 years. My current boots are Rockport Elkharts (no steel toe on these since I don't need them). I'm closing in on 2 years and they're still doing alright. I just mink oiled them again last weekend.

A customer came in earlier to show us something he 3D printed, he said "it only cost me about $10 to print it". I said how long did it take? He said "about 25 hours"

Nobody listened to me at work - I don't care to listened to at home. (Not that I do anything of interest)

More seriously, the only tech we have are Chromebooks, a DVD player and a satellite radio dock.

Amen! I don't like talking to machines at the best of times; hell, I'm hard-pressed to leave someone a voice mail. Ain't NO WAY I'm asking some doo-dad on the counter what f***ing time it is!
