    This is getting attractive!

Does the purchase of the Magnusen Kit come with a tune specific to the ECM?

I have a 2020 04B81 Automatic, and am very interested in boost. It appears the tuners here will be offering a tune for this soon, care to share what the cost will be? If it makes a difference, I have VFTuner (though I have not yet flashed a tune).

1st gen - it's got a built engine, a turbo, and waaaaaaay too much to list. 3rd gen - basic-bitch lift, S/C, Pro Wheels
Magnuson provides a tune for their kit, they also include a lite version of VFTuner as well (which you won't need since you already have it, but that's ok, and you can even sell the tactrix cable if you already have one and make a few bones back). You can download the manual and get a jump start on knowing what you need to do to provide Magnuson with the info they need in order to get you the tune. Although you will need the actual supercharger kit on hand to ask for the tune since they require a serial number and place of purchase if I remember correctly.

Aside from the TRD, are there any aftermarket intakes that will work with the Supercharger?

Anyone running the 87mm Pulley (stock tune, not YW testers)? Thoughts?

some testing being done with the 87mm. @a2lowvw I think. Has to make more boost and proportional HP. Could be a better option for us at high elevation.

Thanks. I had read a few of the YotaWerx tune testers were running the 87mm pulley, was wondering if anyone on the stock Maggie tune had tried the smaller pulley yet?

I’m very curious on trying it, I want it with the yota tune too though but I might give it a go

My 87mm pulley will be here tomorrow, might just have to swap it out and see how it goes.

Assuming if it's better on the stock tune, it will be great with the YW tune.

Do you happen to have the right link for the proper pulley?

From what I read Maggy only provides a Tune for the 90 mm stock pulley. Disclosure to them of modifying your kit from a 90 mm to 87 mm would likely result in them not warrantying your SC - so don't look to them for a Tune for anything else. Pretty sure running a 90 mm Tune on a 87 mm pulley would result in damage to the engine - I would not run the risk until someone with actual experience came forward with evidence. Timing and AFR should be adjusted accordingly.

Yeah, given their history I definitely wasn't planning to ask Magnuson for anything.

I had a TRD SC on my 2nd Gen for 7 years, plenty of us ran smaller URD pulleys on that stock tune.

That's why I was asking if anyone had tried the 87mm pulley yet, looking for some real world feedback.

    Just an update:

Yesterday's dyno session needs to be rescheduled. Runs were aborted since the AFR and boost gauges blew fuses when the truck's secondary battery system got shorted out during modification, and time was needed to determine what had happened, some wires may have gotten tugged during that, which ate into the already extremely limited amount of time the shop was allocating for runs.

We've got a dyno session scheduled for tomorrow as well, hopefully it's not too cold for diagnostic testing if that ends up being necessary.

The warm climate dyno session that was scheduled for yesterday will be rescheduled and performed prior to releasing anything. Anything less would be negligent.

I know you guys have been very patient and it's very much appreciated. Please understand that there's almost always bound to be delays when releasing any tune that is in development, and I hope that it is understood that this tune has been going through an absolutely insane amount of testing, across multiple climates and elevations, finding every little oddity and kink in this ECU that throws a wrench into the mix. As I stated above, anything less would frankly be negligent.

I have been following and can't wait! I have been running the Maggy tune for 20,000 miles. It's just an ok tune, better than nothing is the best way i can describe it. Patiently waiting.

Very excited for this tune as well! A good tune is the only thing I'm waiting on before pulling the trigger on the SC, thanks for all the hard work!

Glad you guys are taking your time and being thorough. My Maggie gets installed hopefully next week. Im plenty excited enough just about that to not worry too much about fixing it already. we'll all be here ready when you are.

I've had a reply typed up and apparently never hit the post button, so here it is.

I have been running an 87mm pulley on both the Magnuson file and the Yw files. I'll try to keep my YW biases out of this post as I feel the 87mm pulley is an upgrade anyone with a Magnuson should do. I did the 87mm pulley swap shortly after re-gearing the truck and wish I would have done it sooner so I could have tested it on the stock setup. For the money I wouldn't hesitate to pickup the 87mm pulley. It is a really cheap upgrade and makes for a really fun drive, all the things that are likable about the Magnuson blower get even better. With that being said the downsides of the tune are also present and standout even more. The power dip that you see on all the dyno's is felt even more while driving. If you already have spent the money on a Magnuson I wouldn't think twice about putting the 87mm pulley on. It's $100 and by far and away the best money you can spend on making it better... You have already spent a fortune and you may as well take advantage of what was left on the table by Magnuson.

and the biased pov - When it's fully ready for public consumption the Yw file is a great upgrade with or without the pulley swap but definitely get the 87mm pulley and software from @mZiggy

@OpelGT or @Formidable is the Clutch Masters FX250 still working out ok for you? Emailed Clutch Masters with my truck specs and usage and they recommend the FX250 or FX350. Currently leaning towards the FX250. I'm going to need to get something soon....
