How to bleed coolant system after switching radiator??

I didn’t bleed so temperature gets high + boiling water

 

Nose up, rad cap off, run it up to temp. Ideally use a coolant funnel when filling. Did you orient the bleed hole in the thermostat correctly?

 

boiling water? did you use water?

Consider this, it works and makes the entire job that much easier - use coolant, NOT water.

just use the spill proof funnel and fill it up start the vehicle and let it burp itself. easy peezy.

and if you have to use water (i use distilled water to flush the whole system.) and only use oem toyota (i just bought some asin coolant) and dont use any water it's already pre mixed.

 

Bleed valve on the t-stat should be down.

 

Old thermostat had two holes in it, replaced with a new one down position, I try bleeding coolant system but temperature was too high thermostat wouldn’t open bottom hose is cold

 

What prompted the new radiator??

You might have more going on here.

I have never had problems with the 3.4 with air pockets not like the 22R series engines.

I just run the engine to the temperature comes up heater on full with the cap off.
