I bought the BBIG puts. It was better than taking my profits on calls already. I think

Not entirely accurate, because the Gov is not guaranteeing purchase of chinese RE devloper builds.

Theoretically (dangerous!) this is a subsidy system that would be turned off or scaled back when supply catches up with demand - I will leave it to you to decide what level of faith you have in the US government to manage that responsibly.

Just did my monthly spreadsheets. Investment portfolio down 3% from last month. Net worth up 4%. Debt levels unchanged.

Answer: Housing appreciation! I just did my annual home value adjustment based on the current median sales price per square foot in our ZIP. This is an extremely conservative estimate - I am probably shorting us $20,000 or more. Even so, Jesus Fried Chicken.

Lol. Unless I’m thinking of moving, I don’t care what my house is worth. And I’m not moving. And I don’t want to be tempted to move, because I hate moving. So I’m not looking into current valuation

Interesting. I prefer to know, ballpark, what amount of investment return I am forfeiting by leaving the capital in the structure. It's also good to know what liquidity could be accessed in the event of an off-the-rails black swan event.

    But that's me.

Whatever works. I’m not going to do a cash out refinance or anything, and I need a place to live, so I don’t really worry about that part. My rental I keep track of comps though.
