Ordered the Anakee Wilds. Going to see how they do over the summer and seeing how I am putting about 10k a year on the bike, I think these should be good for the spring and summer and see how they hold up

super convenient though! I've changed both front and back wheels using just an OEM center stand and creative use of some bungee cord

I might attempt to change my own tires. That's going to be another challenge in itself. I know I'll definitely use the stand on my next oil change

I've done my own tires a few times now, it's a great skill to have, but on tough carcass stiff sidewall ADV tires, MAN is it a pain in the ass. Good luck and watch tons of videos lol.

My neighbor has some spoons and I think the bead breaker tool. I have watched some videos, looks very labor intensive

Some spoons work a lot better than others. I've have good luck with this style.

I use two of those spoons plus two bead buddys when changing dirt bike tires. I don't know think that particularl bead buddy will work on the rear of an AT but there are other options from motion pro that might do the trick.

so the navi has the stupidest license plate bracket ever. i'm assuming it's a global-edition thing, where it's supposed to fit every number plate out there, but the actual holder is bigger than a standard US motorcycle plate, it looks like a pile of hot garbage.

So I spent some time tonight staring at it, enjoying a cold beverage, thinking about whether I want to try and cut it up, or fab up something completely from scratch, or what.. the turn signals have a nice little bracket on the back that they attach to, it's pretty clean where it attaches to the body, etc. Its steel though, so weldable..

Decide to look at how much a new one is in case I decide to cut it up and mess it up beyond repair: $8.54

    upload_2022-2-9_20-23-53.jpg

Compared to a similar piece on the BMW: $129.88

    upload_2022-2-9_20-24-11.jpg

This bike is freaking amazing! Keeps getting better. I'm looking through all the part fiches for the Navi and things are just SO CHEAP. Love it.

FYI, I have a Nomar tire changer at my place. You could have your tires shipped to my place then rider up and help change them.

Once hunting season comes in, all my time goes to that. I would ride my motorcycle to hunt but not sure what I would do with any game I took! I think @fatfurious2 sent me this once.

No problem at all. It's a manual changer so muscle is involved but technique is the key to it. Only pair so far I've had to struggle with have been the Pirelli Angel GTs currently on my FJR. Most of the tires I've put on or taken off have gone really smoothly. Set them out in the sun first to get warm and they aren't too bad. Offer is open to any of you guys within reasonable distance.

I’m waiting for my go pro mount to get here today to go out for a quick test ride. Windy AF, but I can probably get a few miles in before it gets sketchy.

Pretty solid! I did have to remove the chin spoiler from my helmet. I’ll see if that makes a difference in wind noise while riding but I can’t imagine it’ll be much. Otherwise really thankful you mentioned it. I was really trying to avoid a sticky mount and wanted something I could move around if needed.
