Random thought; I want to pull the middle seats (temporarily for a few years) and build a flat platform for Bronx.

Realistically, no one sits in the back seats...at least not in my 4Runner. I expect things to be the same in the LC for awhile.

I may be going against the grain here, but I personally think dog platforms are dumb.

Its a dog. Despite what people think, it doesn't give a shit about how it rides in a vehicle. I wouldnt give up versatility of a vehicle when the dog can ride on the seats and be totally happy.

    Respect your opinion.

I know where you're coming from though; it's easy for people to 'humanize' their pets and I often remind myself or my wife of that. They're still members of the family though and I'd put one of my own pets ahead of most people

I would be doing it to lower the height that he would need to get up on as the LC's seat bottoms are pretty high.

There's also the fact that, if I had a flat platform, it would make for much more usable space which in itself, adds utility.

Plans would be carpeted MDF, nothing fancy as I'm not a woodworker and my skills would be really limited. Using it as a dog platform would be one pro, having a large flat space for stuff is another pro. Only cons I see are, someone not being able to ride in the back but that's not something I ever worry about anyway.

Steph has one for her car, and I had one in the 4Runner. Worked great actually.

But the LC's seat bottoms matched with a narrow door opening would make it a hassle each time.

That shit creeps me out. I see people on Facebook taking their dog to see Santa (hell, even the local petco paid some dude to dress like him for pics this year), or bringing the dog to weddings. People would also bring them into the grocery store I worked at. Gee, just what I want, an unbathed fleabag that eats its own shit getting all up in my food.

Take the seats out and find some good tape or something to hold down some thicc fabric to help with hair.

then you can put the seat back easy enough for the next LT meet

He goes camping with us, every camping trip.

That or vet and grooming appointments and that's it.

So in short, he rides in the back more than people do hence the platform. But again, I want a low to the floor one for utility.

Save that for when you sell the LC and go back to a truck once the home projects start piling up.

    :luvya:

Gonna be fun putting a load of mulch in the back of that there LC...

My seats in the 100 went into the storage unit and I platformed the back, it was great. Basically a DIY Goose Gear was the goal but I used marine ply and went to a local upholsterer and got some marine carpet instead of having it Line-X'd. (The indoor/outdoor carpet you get off rolls at big box stores isn't waterproof and gets nasty in my experience. If you're planning on using MDF I'd go marine carpet or at least seal the MDF first. Either way, it's nice, makes it way roomier inside.)

I was like wait, there's that emblem again.
