Ugly Nissan Van

Is this not the ugliest van you've ever seen?



According to Pickuptrucks.Com, the Nissan NV1500/2500/3500 is functionally good, using the V8 Titan powertrain.

She's smokin! But I bet it's like throwing a cane into a dusty corner.

 

Fugly.....so who are they aiming this thing at? It gets the same lousy mileage that a Ford or Chevy fullsize gets. The factory raised top is a plus, not sure if the extended nose is a good thing or not. I'm sure the extra foot room is nice, but not sure the penalty in turning radius is worth it. Should be interesting to see if they sell.

If you look at the inside (and not the fugly outside) you'll notice the floor is flat and open. I'm betting this is a handicap modified vehicle, for someone who is in a power chair to be able to drive their chair up into the van, and into the position of the driver's seat. Layout of the vehicle makes sense for that application. Can't tell for sure, but that's my guess . . .

 

this is nissan's new commercial line van. hence the different weight classes 1500,2500,3500. It's supposed to be like the ford and chevy commercial/fleet vans. Not really for normal customers.

According to the link posted in the original post, this is the way they come from Nissan. You're right though, this would make a great vehicle for wheelchair accessable modifications. Raised top and doors from the factory.

 

The Dodge Sprinter and Ford Transit are far more effective than this beast that I have now dubbed the Trvan.
