I'm not exactly sure what you just said.... You should re-read what you posted because it doesn't make any sense at all.

As I posted in another thread, I recently had to pull my concealed weapon to put down an injured deer that had hit my windshield. As I walked back to my truck, I flagged down the county sheriff with the gun exposed on my hip. He appreciated my humane action, but calmly suggested I put the weapon back in my car before his deputy arrived.
On another occasion in Las Vegas, I was pulled over by a city cop for speeding. I put my hands on the steering wheel, informed the cop I was a ccw holder and asked what he needed to feel safe. He asked where my gun was, and I told him. He only asked that I not reach for it and proceeded to give me a warning for 62 in a 45mph zone.
It's just common courtesy, people. The way I look at it, a cop is a regular guy working a job that entails dealing with people who break one or more laws, from jaywalking to murder. Every encounter has the potential for dangerous escalation and he/she has every right to make it as safe as it can get.

On christmas eve this last year I was driving from south carolina to indiana. I was pulled over in ohio by a female state trooper. I had recently installed 285/75's and it threw my speedometer off. Anyway, I pulled over and placed my hands on the steering wheel after I rolled the window down and turned my in cab lights on.
Before the trip we were discussing in another thread about "right to know" states and which states were recipricle with south carolina. I couldn't remember if ohio was so the trooper asked me if I knew how fast I was going and I replied that I didn't. Know exactly because I just installed these larger tires. I said I was hovering around 60mph but wasn't exactly sure how far my speedo was off.
She politely asked for dl and reg. At that time I informed her that I wasn't sure if ohio was a "right to know" state and that I was travelling to visit my folks for christmas and I handed her both my dl and cwp.
She asked if I had a weapon on me now and I replied that I did.
She asked what and where. I told her I had my g36 on my person at 3 o'clock itwb, 7 in that mag and one in the pipe.
She then asked me for the weapon and I asked is she wanted just the weapon or the weapon and the itwbh. She said just the weapon at which time I calmly withdrew it and handed it to her butt first.
she asked me to hold out my hands. (Cup them) and proceeded to hit the mag release and it fell in my hand. She then racked the round out the pipe and directly in my hands as well and said she would be right back. 5 mins later she was back at my window.
She handed me the glock and told me to go ahead and load it so I preceded to install the magazine, aimed it at the passenger floorboard(I was alone) and chamber a round. I then released the magazine, laid the weapon on the passenger seat and inserted the lone bullet that I had into the magazine and reenstalled back in the block and from there into my itwbh.
We talked glocks for a few mins, always being very curtious and polite to one another. She referee to me as sir and I to her as ma'am. She told me to be careful and watch my speed with a smile. Neither of us saying anything about christmas maybe as to not offend if it wasn't politically correct.
She waited for me to pull off the burn and she did a u turn and headed the opposite direction.
    very pleasant situation.
I have been carrying now for probably 20 yrs and I still sometimes get a butterfly or two the couple times that I have been pulled over. Common sence, cherish and being polite will get you pretty far even if you know you were in the wrong.

Not had any instances where I needed to draw my weapon. But I did have the need to put my hand on it one time while out fishing and quite a few hoolums were coming down the path smoking weed and chuckng rocks in the water laughing while people were fishing. There were several of them and an older couple near me that seemed a bit talon back by them. They never really saw me as I was down over a few rocks. But I was certainy on the ready in case they started harrasing the older couple.

Be careful out there everyone and if you do carry, please excercise your right to do so with caution and read your local laws as well as the laws of the states around you. They are constantly changing and updating them.

The things required to pull bitches
When they stop you and you can't drive away, you are being Detained. They can also cuff you and put you in the back of a car, or set on a curb or have you stand around, and its still being detained. When they arrest you they must charge you with a crime or have evidence supporting that you commited that crime. I've been in that situation enough to know the difference between those two.

Subbed, pretty good info in here.

I think someone else posted this already- but a traffic stop DOES NOT equal arrest. That is the most ludicrous thing I've ever heard. I understand you and I have some different views on things- but don't distort reality to try to make a point.
You have been detained at a traffic stop. Implied arrest is based on a reasonable (but subjective) time standard and Explicit arrest is based on the officer saying "I'm placing you under arrest" and likely followed by reading you the Miranda Rights. You can be cuffed, removed from the car, the car searched (with PC or consent), and questioned for as long as the officer needs to complete the enforcement action and you still are not under arrest.

And the other part that I disagree with you about is the "reasonableness" of surrendering a weapon during a traffic stop. It's temporary and reversible...It's also safe. For all the anecdotal evidence you have of a cop going crazy- I'm quite sure I can find twice as much of cops being killed while their backs were turned or their head down. I agree with this concept so whileheartedly that I would ask everyone I ever interacted with as a Federal LEO "Without reaching for our touching- Do you have any weapons on your person or nearby" and then safed them before we did anything else.

PA DOESNT ISSUE A CC PERMIT
    http://paopencarry.org/PennsylvaniaGunRights.pdf

The License allows you to carry in a car
The License allows you to carry concealed
The License allows you to carry in a city of the first class( Philly is the only one because it has over 1 million residents)
The License is not a CC permit
The License is a License To Carry Firearms....

ive studied PA's laws in depth and have Open Carried in Centre City Philly....I have my PA LTCF from Centre County

heres myself "Standing Trial" with my empty holster at the PA state house. when i visited national park carry was illegal anywhere. now the grounds are legal but the buildings are off limits...pretty sad its the birth place of liberty and its illegal to exercise civil rights:mad:

I have an LTCF from Lancaster county - which, allows me to carry a concealed weapon anywhere in PA.

So....your top statement (in bold) and your bottom list don't make any sense to me. What am I missing here?

Are we confusing the difference between a permit & a license here? Or are we confusing what CC actually stands for? CC (to me) means Conceal Carry.

it is not a concealed carry permit it is a License To Carry Firearms...its to carry generally not specifically concealed....for instance Florida issues a CCW permit they only allow Concealed Carry. You can only carry openly in Florida with certain exemptions like if youre fishing, hunting, camping and a few other exemptions

So you are arguing a semantic difference.... Florida issues a permit that ONLY allows Concealed Carry...So it's a concealed carry permit. PA issues are permit to carry a firearm at all, which includes concealed. So it's a permit to carry...not specifically to carry concealed so therefore it's not a concealed carry permit??

basically but there is a fundamental difference...considering one is for only one thing and allows numerous things

I have a CHP in VA and carry when I can, which isn't everyday because I work in DC and legally I can't carry it into the city.

While I agree with you- The PA license does afford more options..it is required to have that license to concealed carry...correct?? So it IS a permit that ALLOWS concealed carry??

    YES!!!!!!!!

Sorry...I was getting a brain fart reading all this stuff. Here in PA - it's ALL THE SAME THING. It's an LTCF (as spelled out on the application) but its the same thing as a CC permit (most people call it a CC permit because that's exactly what it permits you to do...conceal carry). Since...OPEN carry is legal without a permit or license so there's no need for other permits aside from CC/LTCF.

Are we all on the same page yet?

no because the LTCF allows you to carry in a car and open carry in Philly and other things.....its not a CC permit that is just something else you can do in a long list of things

I disagree with the way you are wording that.

PA DOES require a permit in order to concealed carry. You can not go get a permit SOLELY to concealed carry permit, and this permit allows you to concealed carry....there fore it is a concealed carry permit (among other actions)

You can't carry in dc because they are in violation of the 2nd amendment.
