Looking for feedback on ride quality of the TRD pro shocks.

I have a limited, and would like something more stable for a daily drivability. But wanted to hear some feedback from people who have either swapped their non TRD Pro trucks with takeoffs, or have driven the pro and other models to compare.

My main goal is drivability, comfort and stability as a daily, not looking to lift the truck. I've considered bilstein, but have received feedback that its too harsh for a daily since it is geared more for off-road, which I do not do.

Mainly looking to confirm if trd pro does better on the highway. I also own a ram rebel which has bilteins from factory, and it feels planted on the freeway. so just trying to figure out the best way to go.

Bilstein 4600's ride very nice. A just slightly beefier version of what comes on the TRD Offroad. I believe the TRD Offroad has the softest valving from the factory, so if suppleness is what you're after, I'd look for a set of those, with the 4600's being a close second.

From what I've read the Limited has the same suspension as the TRD Sport, which are pretty stiff and noticeably stiffer than the OR factory setup.

The SR's Hitachi's ride is pretty terrible in comparison to the Bilstein on the OR.

The Pro are supposed to ride pretty nice, but a bit stiffer than the O/R setup as it's valved for better offroad peformance, but you can find Fox dealers to revalve them if you're looking for something softer.

I have pro suspension on my trd offroad. The truck is way more confident on the highway, hitting pot holes, broken roads, uneven pavement, or anything else on the highway it takes without breaking a sweat. My old stock suspension the truck would bounce all over the place and felt uncontrolled, but the new suspension it feels like a race car.

Something else the pro suspension fixed on my truck was tire cupping. I used to get horrible cupping, the dealer aligned the truck several times, but at every rotation the tires were just terrible. Since I put on the pro suspension the tires are now evenly worn.

The truck also no longer bounces so much on wavy roads.

Regarding paved road performance, I found the OR Bilsteins to be floaty and divey, and easily unsettled on rough roads (potholes, chunky asphalt, etc). Testing a PRO, I immediately knew those were the ones I wanted. They felt sporty and planted, but I could hit a speedbump at 35 and it was soaked up well. There's still body roll, but whatever, it's a truck, not a Miata.

Off Road shocks feel like grandma floppy tits.

Pro shocks feel like brand new silicone stripper tits.

Are you talking about take offs from an OR? Because if so this is just about the opposite of the truth. People complain about the OR because it is too soft.

The Pro is much firmer and in town going over speed bumps and such can be a bit much IMO. I'm sure at higher speeds they are more in their element.

I have the second gen pro setup on my truck so I have no dog in this fight.

I thought the ride was too soft and there was too much body roll before putting the Westcott kit on and now it rides and corners great.

Also look into eibach trd pro springs. I got those for my pro suspension and it gave me a 1.5 inch lift over a stock pro (im a total of 2.5 inches over a stock offroad). Handles really well too, slightly firmer, but the same control.
