Anyone here run a 2021/2022 Rockshox Sid on any of their bikes? My buddy with a Trek Top Fuel 8 had his credited towards a Pike Ultimate because they couldn't fix the notorious bushing play issue. Even with new bushings and a Sid Ultimate lower it still had play so the shop just offered him a discounted Pike Ultimate which was a win for him.

Not super light. As it sits with repair kit it is about 25.75. Not too bad considering the build out. It has the heavier XTR 4 piston brakes with 180 rotors at both ends. Could shed some grams ditching the dropper for a standard post, etc. You know the drill. I told my wife I was spending this kind of money so I wouldn't have to upgrade anything. I'm not sure she believes me.

Ok I went the safest route and opened a donation bank account for my mom.

inconvenient for some because you have to go to a Wells Fargo branch, but I also intend to take any donations through my PayPal and Venmo.

please don’t feel obligated to donate but somebody said they wanted me to mention when I got something setup. Just PM me if you want more info.

    thanks all.

I just got one in the mail a couple days ago for my new bike. Hopefully I don’t run into the same issues. Makes me nervous.

Speaking of Specialized...the newly-independent World Cup rider Neko Mullaly has revealed his go-to trail bike as a Specialized Enduro. And I love his quote: "Sometimes the best bikes are the way ones you pay for". Really interested to hear Neko, who is notoriously bike-aware, admit to that platform working really well despite the seemingly industry-wide intolerance for Spesh

This also reinforces a point these sponsored riders are not riding their favorite bikes. Occasionally you can read between the lines and these guys will tell you what is actually good. I've heard similarly great things about the Commencal Supreme DH bike

I suffered the notorious bushing play issue last year with my Spur and the replacement lowers/bushings are beginning to show signs of play, as well. The turnaround time for replacements is now months, though, so I'm not quite sure what I plan to do about it this time. Your friend made the right choice!

If by Tahoe you actually mean a 1st gen tundra for half the price you paid, sure I’m interested.

Really though. Bought that thing over a year ago for 10k. Now I see worse ones going for 15-18k. It’s nuts.

pricing seems about right for a vertical rack. Maybe a bit on the higher side but nothing too crazy. I mean, pay 300 dollars more and you can get the kuat piston with kashima!
