Is this the correct wire extension for us to use on the rear footwell lights?

I seem to have a second connector in that area and the wires are bundled together preventing me from getting the harness in a nice straight line. Any ideas?

I think you can (very very carefully with the battery disconnected) cut the loom back a bit to allow separation. It's vinyl tubing, yes?

Above the connector is vinyl. Below the connector, where I would need them to move independently, is wrapped in a fabric like loom. I removed some tape, but they still move as a unit and it remains tethered above.

10 minute mark — same setup as you:

A slight bow is fine, but don’t sandwich it. Plug it in and do a test run to make sure it’s not being compressed so far that you ripped a wire.

Got it, thanks. I think my problem is I was attaching the new harness back into that clip (step 8 in the instructions). It looks like leaving it off of that clip adds a little more slack.

Yep! Just make sure it's secured with the zip tie -- you can see in Chloe's video she didn't put it back in the clip. That might be necessary for people with the dual connectors in there.

Saw the video Chloe Kuo made for these yesterday, they look really nice. Going to have to snag some red ones eventually
