I had a sort of similar experience about 6 or 7 years back. I was referred to a Pain Management Specialist (M.D.) to see if he could maybe help with my chronic back pain. He suggested a spinal / lumbar injection of Hydrocortisone, said it usually helps a lot for about 6 months, then wears off. So I said go for it. Well, somewhere during the needle insertion process, he hit a nerve. It literally felt like someone had smacked the back side of my leg as hard as they possibly could. Didn't really hurt, just startled the shit out of me. I flinched, he asked why, I said "did you just smack my leg?", he said "No, I must have hit a nerve by accident."

You're a M.D., certified, had been doing that for how many years, and you did something by "accident"?? uh-huh.......

 

The main problem is my kid is way too big to put on my shoulders now. And I'm an ugly old dude now so no chance with the hotties.
