What's the point, we all know he's riding shotgun 99% of the time anyways. :D

    Very cute pup.

Riley was in the backseat when we were hit from behind. He ended up between the seats. Wasn't pretty to think what would have happened if he were between the seats. Anyway, Kimo rides in the back with the seatbelt thingy. However, he is very smart and has figured out how to step on the release. I tried modifying a plastic cup--challenge accepted--he can open that too.

My fear is he will become a projectile or could be ejected from the truck in a more serious accident.

    Yeah.
Yeah, we tried one of the buckle things and our female Shiba immediately stepped on it and freed herself. I got some cables off of Amazon that have good swivels and run it back between the seats to the child seat anchor. Also only use a harness in the vehicle. Also have to set the child door locks and window lock, these Shibas figure out handles and buttons amazingly quickly.

Kimo has managed to roll the windows down. So far, the door has only, mysteriously, opened once and that could have been on me.

Honestly I'll probably be taking him around in my XJ more than anything else, keep the rest of the cars relatively hair free hahaha

    Yeah.
Ha! The female in the foreground below can open any unlocked door in our house that has a lever handle, even ones she has to pull. The male has only opened ones he can push on, and he did open the back door of my truck once. I replaced the door handle to "the airlock" (the laundry room that connects to the garage) with a round handle to avoid escapes. So far she hasn't figured that one out. They are a goofy pair.
