I used to love working 2nd shift. Sleeping in and getting off work just in time to hit the bar or club when the fun folks were still out.

Too old for that shit anymore, though. Gotta be responsible and do adult things now.

That is a very very very small part of adulting. There is a much bigger picture. Going to work, playing video games, buying shit with your ability to levy credit or spend cash is, keeping a clean house that's all the easy parts of adulting. Raising the next generation, really truly being there for your friends and family, active in your community, giving more to others less fortunate, getting married and having a successful and life long marriage, those are the biggest parts of adulting and much harder and life long life changing parts of adulting. The former those come and go as the seasons change. The latter those last a lifetime and make impacts not just on your life but those around you.

You missed the point completely. I can tell by your reaction thinking that I'm wanting to be right. Stop being so sensitive. Anyone who's older than you has been through where you are in your life. It's called trying to get you to think beyond.

Oh and this thread has 724 pages worth of examples of individuals who have been burned hard some probably to an absolute crisp compared to your life experiences on that thus far. You're not unique in that aspect. There is a lot to unpack with that whole mentality, but I'd encourage you to judge someone by who they are standing in front of you and not by someone else's past actions.
