    Your neighbor's front door was in the video shot. What do I think? I think it would have been very funny if your neighbor came out the front door screaming at you about revving engines and making noise. We have guys on harleys with straight pipes blasting down the street. How is that a good idea? More noise is not cool. Guess I need to move out of the city. :)

    My 99 2.4 doesnt sound ricey with the Bullet Exhaust and such. I do have DT header, KandN, and High flow cat but even before all that it wasnt bad.

    I dont have Video but the guys at the Superstition meet a few weeks back all said it sounded more like a 6 than a 4 when I asked.

    agreed. i have my knock off flowmaster dumped behind the cab and its sounds good at idle and during acceleration, i have the 2.4 so getting a non ricer sound should be obtainable

    edit: forgot to mention the cab noise...its very noticable in the cab but that doesnt bother me

    Im just going to tell you this... if you think that you have a rivet sound now, headers will just magnify the rasp effect. That's just how its going to go. A decent option would be to get headers to make the exhaust overall louder, then a resonator to tame the rasp.

    Listen-not only your 4-banger, but my v6 as well..do their jobs without giving back a beautiful sound like a v8 with its split harmonics or a v12 with its "two engines strapped together" sound. The only thing that may help is to put baffled tips at the ends which will smooth it out. Other than that, you have to live with the idea that that 4-banger will never give a beefy tone. My v6 sounds wimpy IMO but the truck looks tough and the pipes look nice and it helps the breathing. gotta take the good and leave the crap:)
