Just aired mine out. After all the rain we have had, I was pleased to find no mold, no mildew and no bugs. 533482D8-82CE-4F26-B42E-FB5B354364C3.jpgDD4CAE89-702A-4C7F-89D6-DD115CE897FB.jpg F1DE9A09-B134-4AF4-AD0E-21E066427285.jpg

Been doing good as one can be with the world these days. Lots of work on house and trailer and staying out of sight. Enjoying the great outdoors more. Hopefully will have our roof rack built for the new RTT by Thanksgiving

Mine was stuck in Colombia for nearly 6 weeks...I was about ready to head down there and liberate it from the port. It was originally supposed to be set for delivery 8/22 based on when it went into the container in Australia.

Happy to find this thread! Bought our 1981 M101 Canadian Military trailer 2 years ago and making some progress.

The day we bought. Buddy put some work into it for hunting purposes. We cleaned it up and are making improvements.

Re-coating the interior and turning the "tail gate" into a swing gate.

The "floor" was wavy so i used a 5/8" sheet on finished one side plywood, printed off a pattern of bolt locations to screw in as grips. Looks cool too...

Time for a lid to keep all the valuables in place. I'm going to do a Cali rust patina on the surface then seal it.

That looks great @LEXICON My first wheel tire set up stuck out like that, made me nervous it would send a rock through my back glass, so I tucked them into the fenders. I did pick up a set of old CJ rear fender flares that kind of fit but didn't care for the look.

Thanks! @skidooman It's been a fun and evolving project. I don't have the same concern as you as I have a soft topper with a plastic rear window. I did however install mud flaps to protect the propane tanks.. lol Next up, a solar setup on the lid.

Last Sunday my neighbor was cutting up some storm-damaged trees when a six-inch diameter sweetgum decided to fall in the wrong direction and landed on my trailer.

The RTT gave it's life to protect the trailer by cushioning the blow, but he owes me a new tent. Fortunately, he is a good guy and said he'd make good on the damages.

Well, yeah. I'll probably buy a hard shell. That FRS is nice but it's a beyotch to fold up.

Nice setup! Thought a bout an RTT for us but the dog makes it impossible. Sleeping in the truck bed is more practical I find too, can keep the bed made and hit the road easy without dealing with bedding and a tent..

One huge reason I like my tent. The dog sleeps on the ground inside the tent and the bags stay on the mattress.

After working on this heavy ass solid lid this weekend. Got adjustable, lockable latches on and 4 gas springs, 2 sistered together in each corner. Doesn't quite lift it with 4, 56lb shocks in the location i'm forced to use cause of the tailgate. I'll order up some 80-100lb shocks and see if that does the trick.

Next up, painting the under side white and giving the top surface a rusted patina. Thoughts on that? See my truck that will be hauling it.

A friend built me an M416 frame for a retirement gift and I built the box, second box on it now. This box was built from Hickory wood because of how hard it is. The axle is now a 6000lbs with brakes because I bent the 3500lbs axle. I broke the leaf springs in the first year and I went to a trailing arm setup with airbags, basically the same setup my 2006 GX470 had. The trailer can be used as a flatbed or a stake trailer depending on what I am hauling. The trailer has about 50k miles on the frame, been to Alaska twice and the Artic Ocean once. Right now it is getting a new finish of varnish and some improvements, like the new axle and a RTT.
