Thinking of getting one, just wondering if the air dryer at the end of the car wash blows it out.

Air dryer has lifted mine before, but I slightly moved up and down it settled. I think you’llbe okay. It’s really heavy.

Find a hand car wash in your area. That's what I did. Does a better job and no worries about things like bug shields, bed mats, swirls, etc. Worth the few extra bucks.

It's not going anywhere. It's a big sheet of rubber and it's not that light. Go clean it up without worry.

I use a car wash once a month, never had a problem. Every once in a while, I remove the mat to clean the liner due to the buildup of leaves, dirt, and debris that accumulates under the mat.

Mine stayed in with no issues, now I have a trifold so it doesn’t get wet any longer.
I noticed the other comment about the car wash and blowers vs hand washed. I recently found the local car wash in my town recycles it’s water so I use to get salted water to wash the salt off. I think it should be posted and is misleading. I changed to another one and hope it’s clean water.

My hand wash place has the giant jet dryers at the end and my mat hasnt ever blown out. Its heavy enough that it has never blown out on the highway either .

In my area, the towns require all car washes to use a certain percentage of recycled water so I can’t avoid it.

To the OP as your bed mat ever flew out of your truck going 60-70 mph, if not then don't worry about it blowing out in a car wash as I think the force of the air flow is probably not as high. Just saying.

I would never trust a car wash with my bed mat. I farted once and had to get the damn thing off the neighbors roof!:anonymous:

Car washes have been required to recycle water in most states for decades, and it's certainly a reasonable thing to do.

What you want to ask about is their filtration system, cleaning cycles, etc. They all have to have something, but some may be better than others in their granularity.

If you know a lab rat they could measure your local potable water vs the car wash output. Of course theres no way to tell how many recycles have occurred on the car wash, and there always has to be fresh make up water as well, since what's used doesn't nearly all return to the system.

Upshot. I don't think you have to fret over resalting your vehicle.

I had mentioned that I was thinking about buying one. I don't have one now, and was wondering. Thanks for the reply.

I actually like to remove my mat when I take it through the wash. My driveway has a large tree that goes over it, so my bed usually fills up with leaves, sticks, acorns, oak flower things, pollen, and bird poo. So with the mat in there all that stuff just gets washed under the mat where it turns into sludge in the hot sun.

But when I do wash the truck with the mat in there it never flies out, though it will jump around a bit in the blower.
