anywhere from $0 to maybe a few hundred, depends on the condition/quality of the stolen cats. That's why newer trucks and SUVs, as well as hybrids, are the most targeted. Yank 'em off an older vehicle and they probably aren't worth much, or are low end aftermarket replacements

    None yet.....

I think I will be getting the Talon as well. I like how the Cat Security one has the slots cut in that allows visible inspection of the cats, but don't want to drill additional holes to install it. The Millercat has an easy install but doesn't allow for visible inspection without pulling the shield off. The Talon seems to be both a no-drill install and have slots where the cats are, plus it's the thickest. Also a Veteran-owned startup. :oldglory:

OK, that is what I figured, we would not get coverage along the sides but hope that at least it might slow them down a little. So in your case if you are looking at the Talon that would essentially take the place of the transmission skid. I was looking at the full RCI skids to get some protection, just wondering if I get the full or if they (or any) would work with having a cat protector between the front and the transfer case. I am sure at some point the skid manufacturers will come up a solution as well to make some extra $$$ Just need to decide how important dedicated cat protection is. Again, sad we have to worry about thieves more than rocks! Thanks for the info!

@darron1117 - Not trying to hijack but figure might be good conversation given the circumstances.

I also got Talon’s but went a step further and put the Cat strap from the header flange to the muffler to protect the secondary cat. Steel rods of varying densities enclosed in a protective sheath.

Is it just me or does the cat near the bottle with the blue liquid look like he's/she's got a broken spine? I mean that's some amazing flexing there.

You've never had any pet cats I assume...they can bend and fold to make themselves fit just about anywhere, that is until they become Heckin Chonkers according to the Chonk Chart

    for reference

Well now if we're going the inclusive route then we'll need to add nukes, bottles, knives of every kind, missiles, arrows/bolts, not to mention sandpaper (might as well make them suffer sandpaper rash and if you stay in one spot, you'll get a hole...eventually) and a whole host of other hole making tools/weapons.

They can also flatten out and fit under furniture and squeeze into weird stuff like vases.

Cats are like the boneless chicken you buy in the grocery store. Only with fur, not feathers. (and not frozen...yet)
