Did you do any repairs to the flaky pint before wrapping it? My 2010 is getting bad and was thinking about doing this same thing.

I haven't wrapped any seriously flaking parts yet (fenders are flaking and they're next) but I plan on breaking off the big flakes and trying to sand down the remaining paint edge. I also fully understand that I am now committed to forever wrapping my truck or having it professionally stripped and painted in the future. And I'm ok with it. Maybe I'll do a color shifting chrome next...

i was thinking of sanding mine down and wrapping it. I don’t care about the forever wrapping part of it. It’s an old truck and it’s going to be mainly for camping and off roading. Rather rip off vinyl and throw on a new one than deal with paint constantly.

Lol being lazy. Had these for about a year now and finally got around to installing them. The price is ridiculous now.

Don’t see it going down in price so I’ve sucked it up and ordered the entire X2Power battery, SDHQ full terminal set with earth ground, billet hold down with adjustable j hook and voltage regulator. :spending::spending::spending::spending:

Initially I thought they included that with the new kit (came with my terminals when I got them way back) but now it's a separate charge.

When they say “complete kit” they are a little incorrect since the ground cable and compression connector are NOT included. Another $9.95 shipping on a connector pisses me off even more that I did the same YESTERDAY for the cable!!

You know what, F - SDHQ. I found the same connector @ $6.80 at another retailer. With shipping it's still $3 less than just the SDHQ compression lug alone! They are gouging us for the privilege of buying their product, and we spend a shit ton on our vehicles. I'm sure I can take my future business elsewhere. Way to go SDHQ. Don't make the mistake of ordering thinking the kit can be installed without some additional components. You don't need the ground cable but you will need a replacement lug, so this kit is sorta complete.

SDHQ BUILT COMPLETE BILLET BATTERY TERMINAL KIT $139.95

6GA NEGATIVE BATTERY TO BODY 16” GROUND CABLE $14.95

    SDHQ COMPRESSION LUG KIT $13.95
$7 Alternative: https://remybattery.com/search/6 Gauge Compression Lug Connector

    Your "complete kit" $169

Quite a bit accomplished today. Upgraded to 35s from a TW find, installed new DRT lower control arm skids from a Black Friday sale, did a tiny bit of fender trimming and cranked these coil overs for a bit for clearance. 4952621D-D757-4F17-BE99-797BC57DCDF2.jpgE59F12A4-448F-4859-92AB-D9835A441D3D.jpg01955F50-6154-4E8D-A0E2-71A4B75095E8.jpg
