The rust claimed mine fairly quickly. It's worth trying to loosen the bolts and see if they spin freely inside the bushings. I did not enjoy trying to replace mine and the bushings/bolts aren't cheap (if Toyota is still using the same design).

Heard the wave of catalytic converter thefts in CA and AZ that I’ve been reading about on this website for years has finally made its way to Boston

    Finger’s crossed….

Yea I had to cut mine out - I have since rebuild the LCA's with whiteline bushings and new ball joints and oem alignment hardware coated in neverseize. I also remove them once a year to relube them so they don't seize.

Nice, I got the Moog ones and a press kit coming in tomorrow, so hopefully I can get it out without problems.
I really hope mine aren't borked to the point I gotta get new ones. If I do, I might go ham and just get some TC ones...

    Greetings from Covlandia (yet again).

Wife had it for the second time early January. The kids and I didn’t get it. My youngest just got it for the second time from daycare. So far she’s asymptomatic so I’m hoping she stays that way. I haven’t tested myself or the older one yet, but we’ll see what happens. Luckily daycare is switching to a 5 day plus testing exclusion rather than the previous 10 day plus exclusion so I won’t have a billion days of work off. When my wife got it because of exposure and whatnot they missed nearly 20 days of daycare.

Fingers crossed that my youngest tests negative on Tuesday so she can go back and we can move past this (yet again).

My Son decided our house needed it last week. He went down on Thursday night/Friday, I went down Saturday, my daughter later Saturday and then my wife Sunday. And my wife’s booster she had at the end of November didn’t seem to make a difference. Wife and daughter were confirmed by test yesterday, and now because of stupid rules my daughter can’t go back to school till next week, even though CDC says a “2 days” I think after fever is gone with out meds. And Healthcare workers can test positive and still go back to work.

I feel like we still can’t get our shit together and have some common rules around this.

Daughter was doused to have 2 birthday parties this weekend. One at each grandparents house. Unfortunately the little man brought home a stomach bug. Kids are sissy doing pretty well but my wife and I are down for the count lol. I slept on an air mattress last night as I was the last one to not have it, and well that didn't work

Must annoying thing is I'm not setup for remote yet. Nor do I have time of to use yet lol.

The issue this round, folks are contagious 2 days prior to showing signs, by the time we had the slightest bit of an idea my son was sick, it was too late.

Basic virology. I am not a virologist or biologist but have read an article on MSN so I am qualified

As viruses mutate over time, especially one as wide spread as this, each mutation typically becomes more contagious and less dangerous. Point is - if it kills its host, it can't spread when the host is dead. So they evolve to become more contagious and less deadly to humans. The humans who die are dead, the humans who survive spread it, so the more dangerous variants tend to fizzle out while the less dangerous ones tend to spread more.

Was talking about this with my wife a few weeks ago. I'm no virologist either, but from a logical standpoint it's a good premise and one I think we're watching happen in real time. I don't think we'll ever get rid of C19, but it will mutate into a strain eventually where it is no more severe than the flu when active.

Unrelated, This guy ain't half bad. I wish I could park my camper with this precision. https://www.reddit.com/r/oddlysatisfying/comments/sq2me8/this_guy_trucks/

Washing is my goal for tomorrow. I told everyone I'm blocking out time to get that done. I need to get under my truck, I bet my zerks have never been done and I'm kinda ashamed about that.

We are well past the window of eradication, unfortunately. I am much more conservative with the pandemic than the average member on here if I had to guess, but even I'm to the point that I'm aware this is going to be an "adapt" situation.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
You know I drive thousands of miles every week with no problem. I take this weekend off to take the family up to N Conway NH. We left at 4:00, so far we've only made it to Concord and we're stopping for dinner. Traffic has been so bad it's crazy!

Tomorrow I'm spending all day in the woods at the beach at the dog park etc outside. I'll hit the car wash maybe or at least hose it down. I got some bird turds on my hood I need to get rid of. We'll see how much I do a big wash or not. Was thinking of mounting the roof rack but I don't need it until I can kayak so I have some time before I waste half a beautiful day doing that.

3 hours to Concord during rush hour ain't bad. I go up to Woodstock VT a few times and I need to leave at either 3 or 6. Anywhere in between is chaos. When I go in June I might just take a half day that Friday and hang out in queechee or something waiting for others for a few hours.
