You could've gone with a cheaper set up. No dimming on or off, just on/off.

Got my kit in from HotShot yesterday. Couldn't wait until the weekend............put the fronts in today. Wow..........these are nice. It's like putting in under cabinet lighting in your kitchen - you didn't know you needed them until you put them in and now you can't imagine not having them!
Great kit. Very professional in packaging, design, and integration.
I would prefer a mechanical fastening system for the LED modules to the panels, but the 3M tape should be pretty good stuff.
I have the TRD Pro and have the extra connector in the A pillar. Makes the install a little more of a pain as you might need to go a little off script to make it all fit - but pretty easily doable.
Haven't started the rears yet as I'm still debating the best install location and plan.
    I would recommend this kit!

@dilbert Nice pic. How did you mount the Scan Gauge II? I have one that needs to move from my old ride to the new... The old ride has it above the rear view mirror. Unfortunately in the Taco, it would force me to push the mirror down and take away too much of the view.

I was considering using those 3M E-Z Pass mounting thingies... I have a roll of it.

    Thanks in advance!

Honestly, it's been my experience it's fine above the mirror in terms of view. It's not perfect as the mirror touches the ScanGauge touches the headliner, but it does fit. The only complaint I have is the locking Velcro will disconnect on one side if you hit a bump occasionally.

Just got home and saw a box of chocolates in my mailbox. Good thing it’s cold temps. It’s been there since yesterday around noon…

I just used a black double sided tape that's similar to this one. The angle and position works great unless your use the cupholder in front of it. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B005SRECEU

Edit: here's another option of you want it higher up... Just clips to the headliner.

yeah, my passenger side light promptly fell off. Surface was clean. I just cut a strip of automotive double-sided tape I have laying around and then used a heat gun on the lowest setting, after re-attaching, to make sure the adhesive on the tape could do it’s thing. I installed in about 45 degrees, so a little warmth goes a long way to making the tape bond properly.

Edit to add: I’m very happy with the lights. It’s a real nice addition to my truck

Question for you guys. I just installed my footwell lights but they aren’t turning off. Doesn’t matter if I lock the door they just stay on.

You did remove the negative terminal on the battery as per instructions before the install, correct?

Damn. This picture makes me wish I got aqua. Oh well my 5500k whites should be here tomorrow so I’m sure I’ll be happy once they’re installed.

Installed on a '21 TRD Pro. Suggest taking your time and installing this during the day. Thank you @kmorgan3 and team for building a great product and supporting this great forum. Idk why the fronts look blue and the rear aqua but they are aqua all around. Sorry for the poor quality, iPhone issues.

Sorry, I'm my usual week behind. That is the spot I tested out and am planning on mounting mine. The wiring will actually go through the bolt that holds the hinge on though, because I never do anything simple...
The hardest part about that was sourcing the hardware though, so I don't think my solution would be a good solution. The bolts need to be an M10X1.25 (fine thread), so they were a pain to find.
If anyone ever doubts that I move at a glacial pace on my truck, here is the thread from when I first started looking at mounting the lights there. It is from August 2020. And I still haven't actually done anything with it :anonymous:

Here’s what we still have in stock as of this morning. If anyone is still looking for a red rear we’ve got 1 left till the re-supply.
