    Wanted to keep it simple.

Unfortunately, you can't get a plate with a single round opening and I didn't need 4 USB ports so...got a dummy filler voltmeter.

Where'd you put your sticker? I haven't put any on my LC.

I think it's buried in the garage boxes somewhere. I hope I didn't lose it. The only stickers I have on are a couple of small Cruiser Outfitters in the rear side glasses.

If I find it, I think I'll put it in the rear center like this. They look good on 80 series..

Someone talk me out of giving up my 1st gen.

I currtnly drive my 99 taco, 2.7 4x4 5-speed with 330k miles. The paint is pure garbage but the body is straight and the interior is good. No big issues, a few oil seaps but a good truck overall.

Been eyes a 01 mustang gt or a cobalt ss. I drive a 90 mile round trip for work each day and I would like something with more power for the interstate.

I feel like the truck is safer...it's in the condition where I don't care about road rash..If I need the bed I have it...and living in the south weather matter and never know what kind of weather we will face.

I have a 97 silverado so I tell myself I don't need two trucks but I also feel I would get tired of driving a little car everyday.

This truck sure looks familiar. Is that parked by Museum Road?

    That paint looks mint

My dad's bmw looked about as much... I wet sanded it lightly than clear coated it with some spray max 2k clear... Looks factory and since it's a 2 part paint it's just like automotive paint that comes out of a gun

Hasn't yellowed under Texas sun in a year

Yup, sell the Silverado and buy the sports car

I mean, unless there's a reason the Silverado has to stay like to haul a big trailer/camper/boat or something

figure there's some reason the Silverado is around and wasn't considered to sell, only reason I can think of is if he's got something to tow occasionally that a 2.7l 1st gen can't (which is basically anything amirite)

inb4 everyone with a 4 banger posts photos of themselves towing stuff, looking at you Tyler

Yeah, its the only reason I still have the nissan. That 6100lb tow rating is handy. I'll probably get rid of it though soon enough - Enterprise rents trucks that can tow.

    It'll have a 4L60E though.

Those things barely survive being in a truck; you can rebuild one easily, or find that every transmission shop will get you a quick turn around on one. They're just not very stout in factory form.

Have a 4L80 done by Performabilt in my Corvette, but I'd launch that at 3k+ having a 3200 yank stall on it. The 700R4 in it before bit the dust on the track, and so did the one in my Silverado I had years back.

Overdrive is the first thing to go in those.
