I’m guessing a g-650 family? My lovely Latitude, as I affectionately call it a latiturd, is lucky to get .74 at 410. It’s all a great time and paycheck though.

For anyone that was a low-time guy trying to push themselves for some employment to build to the elusive 1500 - any insight? I'm looking at lots of options from CFI to pipeline etc.

I will have CFII-Multi by the time I'm done (ideally April); trying to knock out tailwheel as well. SES likely end of summer around 275TT. Most of the time in a DA40Ng, some 172 and 40hr or so in a PA28-140 and whatever tail in a SuperDecathalon.

I'd love to ferry planes, and really just learn. I'm trying to reach out to companies cold, but also looking at postings. I'm sure competition will be rough too...Anyway, any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated. I'm trying to work on cards to hand out too (business, not hallmark). ha!

    .88 in a GIV. Now I cruise at .83 in a CL300. Nice ride. I wish I could drive a 600 once

My guess is to get your CFI and teach where you rent your planes to build up time. It's all about time and insurance. [70's in my day.]
Also, in the mid 70's to fly helos offshore for PHI and ect they wouldn't hire you if you didn't have 3500+ hrs. Guess what there was thousands of Veit Nam pilots out there.
    Good luck to you.

If you’re going to have ratings through double-I and MEI why not just teach? That’s likely the fastest way to build your flight time and you also get freedom to build your own work schedule (depending on the school you work for)
Okay now you’re just showing off

I would recommend teaching, maybe just for one year while you keep looking for longer-term employment. You’ll learn more about flying as an instructor than you will at pretty much any other time in your career.

Hahah- yeah, Plan A is instruction; but the student loads are low - hoping influx of folks comes in spring and summer. Just trying to get some ideas for plan B, C, D and E...

    Appreciate the input and insight!
