fyi, just got pulled over by a local town cop.
I was out of town visiting my Dad in BFN (Port Burwell) and had forgotten to shut off my 14" centre light bar mounted above my license plate when coming back into town. I have been driving with it on more often lately because of all the deer that have been getting hit. Apparently the limit of forward facing lights is 4 in total, I had 5 on. I asked if I shut off my lower driving lights so I only had 3 on but I did not get a clear answer if this would be ok since the 3rd light is considered an off road type light.

If the lightbar is DOT certified and aimed no further than your high beams are it is legal to have 3 lights, the 4 lights maximum at the front was always a law, it's in the MTO book. I hope the public servant was nice enough and didn't give you a ticket :fingerscrossed:

This is the exact language in the HTA ref https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/90h08#BK133

    Lamps 62
    ...
    Strength of front lamps

    (9) No motor vehicle shall carry on the front thereof more than four lighted lamps that project a beam having an intensity of over 300 candela. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 62 (9).

If you wire it so your fog lights shut off when you switch on the light bar, that should satisfy this reg.

But but, I thought that you were the "Official TEC Media representative and Official Photographer"

Didn't you read the fine print on that contract @Norilsk had you sign?

Just because you would need an electron microscope and a Russian translator to read it, is no excuse.

There is case precedent that says if you sign, your are agreeing to the fine print even if you did not read or understand it.

Did you read the loosely translated from Russian, "He's my bitch clause" or the " transfer of ownership of Gluteus Maximus" clauses?

You thought you still owned those fancy cameras?

You might have also missed where you gave permission for your RTT to be rented out as an Air B&B to Russian mafia, whom are permitted to flatulence in it with full freedom. (Vodka and borscht can be quite gassy you know).
So you better put two of those pine tree air fresheners in it, or Putin may give you a bad rating. Don't want Putin mad! He rides on bears without a shirt!

Did you get the notice of name change yet, Comrade Shveetski?

You signed that thinking you where getting a good deal on a free Kewl hat didn't you?

Been thinking about getting myself another car....

So this one has the lift system on it that raises it a few inches under 70kph,

But at about $20k every time I scrape the front air dam I'm starting to think of ways to reduce the risk,
it may be my daily driver in the summer...
Thinking of some type of front "skid plate" for attaching to the underside of the front air dam...
made from HDPE, but have to come up with a classy way of attaching it....
that don't blow off at 300Kph...

it shares a lot of parts with the Audi A8 V10, so parts are easier to get than most of these types of cars.
Insurance is under 4k for a full year and I obviously won't drive it in the winter (even though AWD and heated seats).

Oil change it easy, but takes about 4 hours as there are 8 drain plugs... Lol.
Paddle shift, not as good as a stick but I may be able to live with it.
    Mileage and navigation system sucks...
It's not very good off-road despite AWD. would have to hunt for AT tires for the next trail run...

Been talking to a couple buddies... see what they think,
    and so far the only GOOD point against buying it would be and I quote;

"You need to keep your driver's licence"

Now I think I am a responsible individual ... (snicker, cough) so would be able to abide by the speed limits... (cough).
After all this has a slow 0-60 of 2.9 seconds... The top advertised speed is only 325Kph... and I would only do that on an approved track... (cough, hack)
(better get a covid check later)

It's a 2017 with under 18k kms on it and so far looks pretty clean, but doing some more research on it...

Yeah Yeah I know... worthless without pics...

My toolbelt and lunchbox fits in the "Frunk" lol but not much more...

Only other downside I can see to using as a daily is...
if I drive upto the job site in this, customer will be paying closer attention to their invoice. But other than that....

    Any opinions/ input?

Well those brake disks are $1000 each and the pads are about $350-500 per axle that I am seeing on pictures. Oil changes super annoying as you pointed out, and on top of that you'll have to purchase ODIS or similar 3rd party software to service this car computers when needed. If your eyes set on Germans (I know this is "Italian", but all guts are German) I would recommend to look into 911 GT3 with a manual transmission (only new right now) or if buying used have a look at Cayman with stick. AWD in sports cars feels too safe. We buy RWD sports cars not to feel safe :stirthepot::bikewheelie2:
At the end it doesn't matter what car you buy, the only correct answer is always Miata.

Lol most electrics will keep up with the 0-60 acceleration of most "supercars"

But after racing bikes in my younger years farting with combustion engines in different projects ...

I find the sounds of the ice to be all part of the enjoyment of a vehicle...

Piped in engine sounds would be like taking out an inflate a date to dinner...

Listening to a 3/4 cam V8 makes me smile, Starting up the Camaro in the spring I'll be rubbing my nipples as it warms up...

Now listening to one of these.... Gives me the car, but the motorcycle sound experience....

Because I know if I get another crotch rocket, I definitely will end up loosing my licence...
And the insurance cost is about the same for a GSX-R, if I go to get my motorcycle licence back...
Why I don't have a motorcycle licence after having one years ago is a campfire story... :)

Don't want to buy brand new, lol these types of cars unless it's a limited special edition take a 20% hit as soon as you take the keys.

I had a 911 many many moons ago, I liked the car and loved the way it looked.

Rear Engine and RWD was great in a straight line, but gets real hairy with hard cornering at speed. Especially if traction is a little sketchy.
Was always tweaking and fiddling with the car to keep it working right.
That heavy ass was always a limiting factor on track days.

Mclarens are a pain to get parts for on a good day, Same with Koensegg.

For low speed scares I have the Camaro...
It may only be a 350ci in it but it's over 350hp at the posi rear end, lol but when the skinny pedal gets hit hard, no one on the car feels 100% safe.

Lol Miatas are fun, feels like a gokart on the street.
