    Getting closer.

Waiting on some Toyota parts and still need to finalize the bypass mounts.

I may remake the resi hoses to tidy up were they mount.

That basically sums it up! There's a million little detail things you can think about but most of the time they end up where your packaging will allow within reason since you're not building a tube buggy.

Good point. I’m not sure I will be able to fit what I want where I want with the stock frame so it’s looking more and more like I’m going to back half it. I started building a tube bed using the factory frame as a reference point and cutting it out as I go. It was that or string up my garage like a crime scene and not be nearly as accurate haha I’m not smart/experienced enough to work in empty space.

Whos got leads on first gen steering upgrades, rack saver, full hydro, swingset, etc. I need ideas. Would a second gen solo rack work with some love on the first gen?

As far as the rack saver, TNT Fab in Ventura or Dirt Designs (he makes one for Tundras that probably wouldn't be hard to make into one that works for 1st gens).

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/better-steering-solutions.734503/

2nd gen Taco / 2nd Gen Tundra / Solo rack mounts differently than 1st gens where it mounts with vertical bolts rather than horizontal so you'd need to make a new cross member I think.

maybe ill start with a rack saver cause thats the easiest. that swing set without doing the crossmembers has me interested. Just tight on space with the stupid LS headers

yeah that'd be a deal break for me with the LS swap I'd just rip it out and put the 22RE back in

I currently have these fenders and bedsides in my truck bed haha. buddy of mine picked them up in a trade deal but he has a shortbed so i get to try them before i buy them. Really not in a position to go full LT on the front so will i get all the hate for spacers and wheel offset on a mid travel setup?

I've put my spacers through hell and only had the wheel fall off once because of bad wheel studs i used to install the spacer to the hub. new studs and bolted the spacer back up.

Lots of guys run 1.25-2" spacers, nothing like 3-4" though.

I run 2" in front but that's mainly to get these 15in Mickey Classic III's to fit, after grinding the calipers.

They came off my 2nd gen t4r that didnt want to live anymore. blew more HG in the 22re than you could imagine. wasn't about to throw away $1800 in wheels/tires so ground the calipers about 1/8" and spaced them out makes the 35s look huge

Are those UCA's longer than stock? wonder if i could keep my JBA's. I like the simplicity of the gm style ball joint
