I finally got that damn thing fixed before selling it. Turns out there were sensors in there all along and they just needed to be programmed.

I wonder if I could do something like this to my TRD exhaust. The drone on long trips got old in a hurry. But now I can't tell what is wheel bearing and what is exhaust. :frusty:

So refresh my memory, you pulled the bulb & got roasted by the suburu purists on another forum right?

Should have gone with the reliable electrical tape option

Bought some WRX wheels and tires off of Craigslist that I thought had no sensors in them. Covered the bulb in tape and got roasted and then proceeded to live with no tpms for years. Went to sell the car to Adam and he requested I fix the tpms. Bought sensors and went to get them installed, turns out there were already sensors in there and they just needed to be programmed.

Such a moving & motivational story Randall. You should add it to your book when you do write it one day.

All finished up with the chase bar install. I dropped the wire through the roof right over the center console so I wouldn’t have to tear apart my interior to drop the headliner. For power, I ran a wire down to the fuse block and used an add a circuit on the power outlet circuit. The light only draws 3A which is why I didn’t bother running out direct to the battery. For ground there was an unused connector for what I assume is the temperature gauge in TRD models so I tapped into that.

Wait till you start watching them with your son. It's awesome. My boy asks me just about every day if we can watch "The Mates" on TV.

I love a good detailing of an utterly horrendous car. It’s so satisfying.

The newest MAD vid is a 1979 c10 short bed step side that had moss growing from it. The end result is crazy. I would cruise it after the spit shine they gave it

I debated on whether to paint fangs on the grille or not.

You would cruise it with the moss still attached.

Couple of tundra mods today. Borrowed the chalk bag cupholder idea from the third gen forum because it worked the same for the tundra. I also installed a meso chrome delete on the center console. The sun was blinding me off if it.
