i love that darn thing! We use it a lot in the spring and fall. heck ive been known to crank it up on a 80deg day for the kids to roast some marshmallows.

 

@JasonLee not too sure on the material. The tent Itself apparently is in good shape. It’s just the flooring.. just odd to see that kind of damage underneath IMO

 

$800 seems high for that tent in that condition! heck you could almost get a new one from 4Wheel parts for that price or did they jump up in price recently?

 

I have a RTT with similar hail damage, and I’ve just lived with it, haven’t had any problems.
EDIT - I’m 99% sure that’s hail damage on the one you linked.

 

@PS78 glad I’m not the only one thinking that haha. I don’t think they’ve jumped that much, I think this guy is trying to bank off the popularity of it. I’m waiting for him to get back to me on negotiating the price

 

FWIW that model used to be $800 shipped, I had one sitting in my Amazon cart for years and never bought it lol

I’d offer $200. Then I would replace the duct tape with butyl HVAC foil tape to ensure no leakage.

If I understand RTTs, I think when it was folded up, the bottom of the floor that was damaged is facing the sky. They must have got up and stood/stomped on it and then damaged it.

 

yeah i have the smittybilt XL version of this tent, the floor faces the sky when folded up, id say they had something fall on it, or someone swung a hammer to it while drunk HA HA HA

@JasonLee does look like it was stomped in. Is there anyway to fix that? Tape will be awesome for now if this dude gets back to me

 

not sure what the inside material is, it flexes slightly you should ask to pull the tape and take a look at the damage!

 

Yeah that’s a good idea @PS78. Ugh I’d hate to grab it and have to completely replace that. It would just make sense for me to buy a new one at that point

Only if the seller drops to $500.
Unless the things have recently doubled in price.

We love ours as well! We've been using it this winter for warmth/ambiance while we do driveway drinks with the neighbors!

 

Thats usually what i do for halloween, crank it up and do the candy dish duty with drinks and neighbors while the wives take the kiddos trick or treating
