I couldn’t find what I wanted here locally and didn’t have a ride to a bigger city. I settled on a Hyundai Santa Fe. I’ll probably trade it in soon if I find something better.

Yeah. I had to turn in my rental after the insurance company settled so I was afoot with everything else going on. It’s not a bad little buggy. It doesn’t have everything I wanted but it has more than I need

Depending on what I think about it. On paper it should pull my 20 heartland wilderness 2575rk. But idk. I will make a decision tomorrow. If I am not good with the new tundra ill probably drive right on over and jump ship to chevy or gmc(same same) and just pay the dollars for a diesel.

I really need a truck capable of pulling my trailer down to utah more often to see my kids more. Thats important. I do go see them now.. but I have the trailer that is sitting in storage... and 140ish a night at a hotel is much more than pulling into a parking lot and throwing my slide out, out and sleeping for free.

Ill miss my paid for 18 taco w/26k miles. But In all honesty. Ive worked my literal ass off to get to the point that trading in on a brand new ltz duramax or (if I like it) tundra pro is really not going to even effect my monthly take home income very much. Been a long road... but I am seriously leaning towards trading and towing the ole trailer to see my kids more. A vehicle capable of towing(regularly without difficulty) it would make it much easier. On paper the tacoma "should" tow it. But 2 times a month at a combined 640 miles... I doubt it.

I am a mechanic, and looking at the info and what i know. The tacoma cant do it... PERIOD.

I need to asses the new tundra but in all likelihood Ill probably pass on it(even though it is pretty cool)
After doing some more research it will probably be a duramax.

Tldr- tacoma(that I love) has to go because I need to see my kids more.
