Northern Illinois is absolutely terrible

 

I go out of my way to avoid the state as a whole now

It's a common thing for me. Maybe I share a name with somebody that is a weirdo? Maybe I'm the weirdo and I don't know it? I dunno, but your state police... man, they are consistent.

 

Can't blame you. Southern Illinois isn't too terrible at least

 

Oof. Yeah state police are absolute dicks

 

To be fair, I was literally accelerating onto the highway and some small town cop in aviators came and said I was speeding in a school zone. Tried to fight it but they wouldn't budge so I paid my $120. I wouldn't have even been there if I hadn't missed my turn off the highway.

Eeeeehhhh not exactly. It's 4 hours away from me. Anything past Springfield is considered northern illinois

 

all of the tickets I've ever gotten except one, was small town cops. The other was a motorcycle cop. Who pulled me over for doing 80 in a 65 while I was getting passed on both sides.

 

Most my other stops were a 'slow down, next time I'll give you a ticket'.

 

Poorly phrased. IL state cops are not my favorite

 

Ah ok. Most illinoisians hate the state police

 

I think they know that I've been to Summer Camp a few times..

 

I once got stopped doing 95 in a 70 and he said I was "still pulling away". He asked 'What's the hurry?' I was running late for my ASVAB, and he says "Oh my nephew just joined, what branch?" and bs'd with me for a minute before the ol 'slow down, good luck'.
