Man, I drove to Galesburg once. It was such a perfectly normal trip, i'm starting to wonder if it was real.

I haven't been pulled over in illinois in about 11 years now I think. Had only had my F150 for 6 months or so and I was heading home from work one night (back when I worked at a gas station) cop pulls me over, I had a bad night and kinda went off saying "what?! I wasn't speeding, if anything I was going under" told me to calm down and was nothing like that. I apologized after he said that. He said my plates were registered to another vehicle and I asked if it was a 1994 Chevrolet Silverado C1500 he goes "yeah" with a kind of shocked look and told him that was my old truck that I sold months ago. License place basically pocketed the money. Luckily they got shut down shortly after

 

I got pulled over in small town Linn, MO 3 times by deputy 1 but sheriff for a 'Dim Headlight'. No tickets on any occasion but harrassment basically telling me they wanted to search my car. I told the Sheriff my headlight is perfectly legal (because I read the statute after the first 2 stops) and he argues with me and I tell him look it up, says if it illuminates 300 feet its legal. He kept arguing telling me I'm wrong but he wouldn't write me up this time. Never got pulled over again after that. Might've been because he got arrested for sexually harassing female drivers.

Got stopped in Festus in my 84 C10 by some hotshot who thought he had me because I didn't have a rear plate (I did, but it was on the floorboard, for a very good reason). Told the cop I only needed one plate for a full size in Missouri, he got smart with me, wanted to search the truck. I said no. He radio'd for backup. Meanwhile has dispatch run the plates. They told him on the radio everything was clear under code 12R. Then told him they didn't have a book to look that up to see if I needed a rear plate.

So..... Sergeant pulls up, BS's with me for a second (he's good buddies with my friends dad, who's house I left half an hour ago) tells the new cop to fuck off and quit bothering people.

New cop gets the last word in..... "Yeah well your rear license plate light is out"








Why do you think my rear plate was on the floor of the truck? Makes it less obvious that those lights don't work.... Lmao

 

The first dim headlight stop, the deputy told me if I didn't let him search my car he'd call in the K9 unit. I said, okay call em. We sat there for 10 minutes and dispatch radios him (he's standing right outstide my window so I can hear them clear as day) "Deputy blahblah is everything okay, we haven't heard you check in for a while?" "Yeah everythings fine." Then turns to me, "Yeah so the K9 unit pulled over a drunk driver so I'm gonna let you go." Uh huh.

 

Finally I can go home!

I'd say that I hate you but hey, who am I to hate.
But not my phone, it's my terminal at work. On saturday.
After working extra days to cover my boss.
And still working saturday.

And there are mods in here so I'm gonna just assume you guys played nice
and so forth.
