    I have been keeping up with this thread for a while now. I am just wondering if there is any advantage to to modifying the accumulator vs. just bypassing it with a brake line? Sorry if this has been covered already, I was unable to find an answer it if it was. I have already purchased a brake line, but I am curious if there is any viable reason to not use this method?

    Thinking of going this route and welding the bracket. What material is the bracket that comes with the elbow? I'm set up for welding steel but in the pics the bracket looks like aluminum.

    I assume you welded the elbow bracket to your homemade bracket on table, as opposed to overhead welding it. If so that should be pretty easy to do

    Ok so just to get this straight, if I choose to bend a new bypass line....

    1) disconnect and remove existing lines and accumulator
    2) replace with new bypass line
    3) bleed

    that the gist here?

    does anyone have a '19 with a shield over the cylinder? If so. Is it still possible to use the bypass line method? The bolts on this shield seem impossibly located.

    Yep

    the shield is a PITA. lots of people didn’t bother putting it back on. Pretty sure mine is missing the top bolt.

    I removed the exhaust bracket. I also took the time to put the shield back on, which generated a few curses getting the bolts started. It took longer than I expected, mainly due to bolt locations, so be sure you have a decent block of time. A skilled hand could probably do it in half an hour though (I took 3-4 hours).
