Top 3 pics are after the spring swap, bottom 2 are from before.
I will say it was a little tricky using the truck as the compressor. I had to make sure the shaft didn’t bump anything while getting it to go through the top hat.having a second person would have been really helpful lol. Other wise the force would cause it to compress. Gotta wait for an alignment but looks like I’ve got more positive camber, which is good to keep the tire from rubbing.

I think I’ve got the shocks set too high now. Driving of speed humps has a weird rebound or something. Gotta take a good look at everything and make sure I didn’t miss something when I reinstalled everything. I’m also gonna drop the spring seats about 1/4” and see what that does. The drivers front is a little higher than the back. Probably not noticeable without measuring.

Update- dropped it by about 1/4” or so. Took about an hour. Noticeable different driving over speed humps. Probably going to drop it a little more before I get an alignment. I think I was feeling coil bind but not 100% sure.

Its amazing what that 1/4" can do as far as ride quality! Mine was brutally stiff and felt like the tires were serving as the absorbers. Dropped it that 1/4-1/2"? I forget how much, but made SUCH a difference!
I also had to swap in the ECGS bushing. Was immediately noticeable after lift install. Really happy with the ride and height now! Glad you're getting it dialed in.

You definitely look too high in the pictures, that’s how mine looked for a few months while all the heavy things the suspension was specced for were on back order.

Before and after. The 826s are clearly designed with a classic Aussie bull bar in mind. They ride great with the ARB.

It really is, we’ll that and tire pressure. I was surprised when I lowered the 826# the last year. Made it much better but still too stiff.

Great looking truck and pup! I think they run with sooo much heavier stuff then we do. Unfortunately I don’t think I’ll ever get a bumper or a winch. I’m surprised I got sliders and a skid.

Adjusting is pretty easy. Hardest part it turning the lock ring the right way and breaking it free. All in all it took about an hours to adjust it yesterday. That included finding the tools I had the day before and not remembering where I put them.

Jack up truck and remove wheels, remove alen set screw, should be one per lock ring, use tool to break bottom lock ring loose. I used the floor jack handle as the extension for the spanner wrench. Moved the bottom ring to where I thought was good, then moved the upper. Had to use something the fit in the hole so I could force the two lock rings towards each other to tighten together.

I still have a little binding or maybe something else going on. Going to lower a bit more today I hope and see. When looking at my coil over, the lowest spring is just barely not touching the spring above it. I think there should be a larger gap.
I think my measurements were 24 and 23.75 last I checked.

edit, @Montana_Actual your front looks a little higher than the back. It could be that your truck is sitting on a slant.
I’ll take a short video (or try and remember) to get it and post it to help out lol. I think they are regular threaded and not reverse threaded.

I gotcha, the pic looks straight, the truck looks just a tad high in the front. Could be just me though too. Mine didn’t come with the wrench, I bought it off Amazon, it should be in the “products discussed” section below. I didn’t compress the spring to loosen it. I’ll have to measure my threaded portion but from hub center to fender I’m at 23.25 on drivers and 22.80 on passengers. Or there abouts. It not rides smoother and feels like a nice truck and not a full size one. My wife will be the true judge though lol.

Here is a video of a short drive over some speed humps and a round a bout. I might add that spacer back to the bump stop. I need to record that part too and see how it looks.

those CV boots don’t look happy. You have that shock preloaded as F! 21” from top hat to lower center eye on the shock is about as much as you want for a good ride and longevity of components per Accutune’s recommendations

Yea, my initial measurement/set was a lot higher than I wanted. I went from shorter/heavier springs to longer/lighter springs, and expected more spring compression than I got. Still dialing it down, I’d like to be just where those fins are not touching, or I can do the boot slide mod and use the special hose clamps I have that are designed to no tear into the rubber.
I’m only dropping by 1/4” or so per attempt, since it’s easier to lower than raise it.

those coils should settle after a 1000 miles or so. I went with extended 700# coils on my setup and it took about 1500 miles to settle

Yea, I took a look at the cv boots after driving some more and I think they’ll be good, just slight rubbing. It’s still a little higher than I had with the heavier springs. I’m gonna get the alignment checked and drive it for a while, the ride is definitely better than it was. It’s a shame I couldn’t have gotten the lower related springs to begin with.

    Boot stretch mod, you say????

(have also read it can help to spray 'em down with silicone lube whenever you do an oil change.... the CV boots not cowboys!)

Got my ATH bumpers and winch on. Still running the constant load springs up front and the constant load leaf pack with 3rd leaf removed.

The butt sits high but the bed is empty of camp gear and the tent is off. I figure with the RTT, 13gal water tank, camp gear, propane, etc, it’ll ride nice.

Debating whether to switch from the constant load springs up front to the 720# springs. I don’t want to lose lift up front but also want a soft ride. Front still a bit rough on potholes without airing down.

    That’s a good looking truck!

I would be surprised if there are many rides that could truly use the higher rated springs. Maybe the combo is perfect for the Aussie applications and driving conditions. If you can do them yourself or have someone that can do them cheaply (and you already have the springs) it might be worth a try. I think the ride feels softer but I’m still waiting to take the wife out and see what she thinks.

Welp... Here's to hoping IM continues to be upstanding and reimbursement becomes reality.

Dealer recommended tank replacement. Total estimate about $1,400 and I paid about 1k toward that today to order parts.

Good luck! Seems expensive even for a dealer lol… I’m sure you’ll let us know what happens. I still need to give IM a call as well.
