That’s what I’m saying! I don’t like 99.9% of the wheels out there, that includes the gen5. I was about to buy some steel wheels out of desperation when I eventually found the F5s.

They’re basically simi-fancy wheels for fellas that hate fancy wheels. I love the industrial look. The only other thing that compares is Volk, and who has the money for that shit?!

Lol for the life of me, I can’t figure out who pays that much money for a wheel to take off-road. But hey if you got the extra loot, go for it. I ain’t hating on it lol. I only have one gripe about the F5. And that’s the fact they don’t make them in a 16x8 anymore. Although I do understand the logic behind it. But I agree. I love the smooth lines of the F5. Easy to clean and maintain. I tried to like my ray 10s but I couldn’t get past the faux beadlocks. Just not my style. Now, if one were to make the ray 10 without the headlock, it’d be a game changer for me.

When did they stop making the 16x8? It's still listed on their site as an option, just not in stock.

Curious. The original post was updated in December 2021 and it still shows the 16x8. Either way I guess it doesn't matter for me since I have 7 of the 16x8 with 0 offset currently.

I noticed that as well. I was hoping they may have reconsidered lol. But I do remember reading it on here somewhere @SCSPerformance posted that they were no longer offering 16 as an option.

It’s the Gen 5 that will not be made in 16’s.

Oh ok. I may have misread. Completely not out of the realm of possibilities.

The F5 is still being offered in 16s. Starting with the Gen5 and all future new wheel models will only come in 17s. Whatever is currently offered in 16s will remain as-is. They are NOT going away. We just don't want to invest in new molds moving forward. Because of limited tire selection, the majority of our customers do prefer 17s. We don't want a warehouse full of 16" wheels just sitting and collecting dusts.

Any match for touch up paint for the gunmetal - small nick on the inside bore, and I want to paint my wheel weights

this is good for small nicks and easy to source from home depot.

several hours after my post an idiot ran into me with less than 100 miles on my new setup. He hit me directly on my front left wheel, causing me to flip my tacoma 3 times. Very impressed with how well the wheels held up. I’ve also included a picture of his Chevy Malibu.
