Congratulations to those soon-to-be retirees! From someone who pulled the trigger a month ago, I salute you!:hattip:
:jellydance: I'm still waiting for 1099's to come in! Although I am going to start to tackle my mom's taxes this morning; I think I have all I need there. This will be the second year in a row doing my parent's taxes after one of them has passed away. 2020 taxes still aren't fully settled so let's just say I'm not looking forward to this go-round.

Ken: Sounds like you are doing well. Hope you are getting some dive time in. We are taking the Auto Train at the end of the month.

Sold two of my M37 trucks today. Or at least got a deposit, so will be paid when they are picked up. Now I just have to figure out how I'm going to build the one I still own. Anybody have ideas?

I also had one of my rebuilt title Tacomas up for sale and had someone come by today and say they'll be back with cash on Monday.

A good day and now I can relax and concentrate on finishing the building and then painting and carving and building the remaining M37.

Bye-bye little green truck. I hope you're going to a good home.

Good morning fellow Porchatonians!! We are back to below freezing temps with a dusting of snow here in northeast PA. Warm-up coming for mid-week, though. I'm ready for pool weather!

The road on both sides of the new bridge is a mess with the melting snow/freeze/thaw/re-freeze... The top layer they put down was just dirt so it's a mud pit when it thaws. The township will eventually put down some mixed stone/dirt but not until Spring rolls around, probably. Tough to keep the vehicles anywhere close to clean.

Went for a 6 mile hike in North Stonington, CT yesterday (Tri-Town Preserve blue trail). Temperature was about 57°F and trails were great. This morning woke up to about 1 inch of snow on the ground and they are expecting about 3 to 4 more inches before it's over.

On the 2017 Avalon the card slot is marked on the radio trim bezel on the right-hand side. The 2019 4Runner might not have a SD card slot and need a software download via bluetooth. This link might help, but it is for a Yaris. Toyota (visteoninfotainment.com)

Visiting family in Orlando and a day trip to the Kennedy space center. We are also going over to Clearwater to visit my brother in law. Should be a fun 10 days. We opted to drive home and will spend a night in Florence SC. I plan on hitting the Piggly Wiggly and buying some BBQ sauces that I cannot order online.

I think you first decision is body off or body on restoration. Either way when you are done you will have spent more money than you wanted to spend but, in the end, the cost will be a fleeting memory.

Light snow in Bowie Maryland this morning.

:pccoffee: Good Morning Porch Plas & Gals! Happy SuperBowl Sunday!

Enjoyed the trip out to the brewery  and getting rid of my FJ wheels yesterday. Sunny, cloudy, stpritz, and WINDY. But good trip and beers. Got home, and discovered it rained and gropeled 1/2" here at home!
:hungry: Wifey is going to make munchie goodness for the game; nachos, wings, pigs in blankets..... that alone will make it a great game. Go Lions, I mean Matt, I mean Rams.

Might even take the body off and slip a more roadworthy chassis/drivetrain under it.

Grilling up some Bacon-wrapped hot dogs today! First time seeing them in the store (from Hoffy).
Eating healthy food is important... when you are young! LOL
Rams or Bengals? In California you would think I support the Rams... but a tiger will kill a sheep easily, any day! I have no personal interest in either team but it is a good excuse to have fun food, like guacamole, salsa and chips... and lots of Tecate beer!

Well this is my first month of “semi-retirement”, got my first SS check the other day. Gave 6 weeks notice but agreed to work 2 days a week “semiretired” yet over 2 1/2 months later they still haven’t found someone to take my projects, worked 3 days first week, a full 40 hours last week. Gonna have to put a firm 2 day a week limit and insist they assign another engineer to handle calls and issues the rest of the week.

Anyone else go the part time work route for retirement and if so how did it go?

In Tacoma news I hooked up my inexpensive OBII code reader for the first time on the Tacoma and was surprised how much information was available on it. No fault codes in history either :)

On the part time question, I retired at age 55. Five years later accepted a part time job to my liking. It developed kinda sideways into full time until I squashed that back to two days a week again. Toward the end, I pinched that down to two six hour days, then finally ended completely after taking a fall on the job at age 71. I enjoyed what I was doing, but the old body couldn’t take it anymore.

I think you’re right Mike, they know I want our projects to succeed and they are just letting me keep being the responsible guy. I will have to draw a firm line on 2 days a week to force them to get another engineer. If they don’t I will put in my notice and retire full time.
