I’ve got a ton of camping gear to support either full on glamping in the 4Runner or minimalist backpacking. My go to tent right now is a Big Agnes Tiger Wall UL2 and it packs down pretty small and weighs a little over 2lbs.

i really like the lone rider tent for its size and the vestibule for either the bike or a seating area outside of the weather and can see using it on long trips.

I can't wait to do this to my sons quad, He still hasn't got the strength to hold the button down so usually I have just been pulling him around.

Ha I have been the opposite. I got into camping to have a place to sleep on the cheap for wheeling trips. Now I find myself trying to challenge myself more and more as well as learned to love camping just for camping alone and nothing else. Usually when I camp just to camp though it is winter camping, or like I did a couple weeks ago, camping to go snowboarding the next day.

That trip I found the limits of my 3 season tent though, about 8" of snow overnight and 40 mph gusts.

Moto camping is my next big thing, and I do want to attempt backpack camping at some point in my life since my wife and I love hiking.

The lone rider tent I think would give me comfort in knowing my bike is literally right next to me and out of site for potential would be thieves in the middle of the night when doing like a the TAT or something. Like yeah there are likely going to be super remote campsites but there are likely going to be shitty camp sites near civilization too.

Size of the Lone Rider tent is pretty decent.

I have been looking for a winter tent for a bit, this looks like it can suit both my winter trips and eventual moto camping. Appreciate you sharing this.

hey I said *wheels* not tires :) Took each wheel separately to the shop (had to leave one on at a time for balance) for them to change the tires for me since this was before I owned a Taco I could've hauled it in

Sorry my friends, had to take a little break but I’m back now. :)

On another note, I hit 30,000 miles on my ‘07 Ninja EX250 and have ridden it on mild days this winter. Come on spring!

"universal" tail tidy (I think I'll only need to narrow the top mount), LED flasher relay, socket to wire it in, and new smaller LED turn signals for the Navi have been ordered. whoop whoop, all for right around $50 for a hopefully clean looking DIY tidy.

Great day riding and I’m a little tired. Not sure if it was from the cold or the big ass brunch pancake stack I ate.
