Mishimoto Radiator

So I'm seeing 190-200 Coolant. Sorry to be confusing. I'm mostly answering in split seconds I'm not busy.. or driving...

Don’t forget about afe, I ordered both the afe and csf rad. The csf just looked and felt cheap . I ended up keeping the afe .

 

Pics? I wouldn't mind upgrading my rad. Initially I was thinking CSF. But seems like more options are out there now.

 

What would you like photos of , I have one I’m building right now that’s ready for install

I did forget to mention that the afe uses 2nd gen bushings and the csf uses and aluminum reducer sleeve

I’ve seen a lot of negative reviews on mishimoto stuff, they seem to spend a lot of money rebranding cheaper parts. CSF has a decent track record, as does afe to a lesser degree.

 

In my experience, with their trans cooler, this is true.

 

AFe has been a good company. I'll look into there radiators.

 

Ordered one this morning for my 2nd gen.. Can't beat this price, especially with free shipping!!

 

I contacted AFE and looks like they do not make a radiator for the 3rd gen's. at least the 3.5, I did not ask about the 2.7. So Looks like i only have two choices if i decided i want to upgrade.

 

What’s the deal w the temp sensor?

Installing a temp probe for a mechanical coolant temperature gauge.

 

You have to get the 2nd gen and used the rubber bushing for it to work , the csf one works on both 2nd and 3rd gens . It’s the same part number the only difference is they included a sleeve/reducer to use the smaller 3rd gen Oem bushing . I’ll take photos on the next install I do here in a week or two

 

This might sound crazy but sometimes those aluminum radiators can make your car run hotter believe it or not... i recommend just sticking with your stock rad unless you cracked yours

 

Until just recently, I worked for Ron Davis Racing Products in Phoenix and I know they make an aluminum radiator for the 3rd Gen. Personally, I would shop elsewhere. Maybe good for racing vehicles but, I can't believe they would hold up over time in a daily driver. Hard pass IMHO.

 

Included new fasteners is a nice touch..


Radiator Cap seems ok..



Drain plug has a nice seal and has a magnetic pickup for catching any metal debris..bitchin!!!
