Inflation will come down eventually. Maybe not for a few years, but its gone up and come down in the past. Just takes time.

Pictures from Little Italy. Plenty of land for sale in this area. I saw a nice 42-acre tract for sale.

Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
with the current issues present across the world. i dont see that being the case and im not waiting anymore. i'll jump on something while the rates are down. even if inflation slows, the rates will continue to rise for the foreseeable future.

It's a pretty awesome place. We have been enjoying spring since winter ended in December. The airs been clear and the lakes been calm. It feels like it's time to get the paddle board and kayaks out.

I used to head up there quite a bit to take in the natural beauty of that place and get that fishing time in. North of state line was always a fave. Haven't been up there since 2014. Not even sure how the clarity is anymore. Sad that the state line area is nothing more than a f-ing touristy nightmare. Always has been I guess but jeez.

Really do need to get back up there.

How long since you quit? My dad was a pack or more a day smoker for over 30 years, quit at 50 years old and summited Mt Whitney with me for his 60th bday (15,500 ft). Granted it took him 4 hours longer than it took me, but I paid dearly for that in hip/knee pain in the weeks afterwards.

Longer than I care to think about. Teen smoker in the 80s, didn't quit (cold turkey) until I was in my late 30s. Its not that I can't run or really hit the bike for long trips - just can't seem to deal with that altitude. After a few days, I do tend to adjust to it but it really kicks my ass after about 1/2 a day up there.

Bad ass mountaineer eh? Very cool. Any pics from that altitude?

A few from this post, got more buried away somewhere. It was an awesome experience but I would take it much slower if I did it again lol.

We did the hiking trail, there is a mountaineers route to the top but you have to be a legit mountain goat to do that one

Apparently I got the elevation wrong, it's just shy of 14.5k ft

Just take some Acetazolamide a couple of days before you go up. Then pop a Viagra, if you get really high up and feel like your lungs feel like they are getting heavy. It worked.

We took this stuff called Diamox that was supposed to help your body acclimate faster to fend off altitude sickness. Made my skin itchy and makes you pee like a mf'ker. Dunno if it helped or what. Definitely felt loopy near the summit, kind of like an empty stomach alcohol buzz. Didn't get any severe symptoms though like headaches or nausea that would've meant heading back down asap

If you take it for a couple of days before you go up, the diuretic part wears off. I don't want to be peeing on the trail with a group.. LOL
