N-Fab Nerf Steps...2" or 3"...help me decide

OK, I have already done a ton of searching on these steps. I just want some personal views on them.

I have a set of ABS (plastic) Railway side steps that have cracked and I want to replace them with something more substantial. 99% of my driving is on road, so I'm not looking at sliders.

I like the look of the 3" tubes...it looks like it fills in the gap between the body and the tube better. However, it looks like more people have gone with the 2" tubes.

For those of you that have the 2" tubes, why do you like them and do you regret not getting the 3"?

If you have the 3" tubes, why did you decide to get them instead of the 2" tubes?

I have read several times that the 3" tubes don't look as good unless the truck is lifted. I plan on a small lift in the future...but running stock suspension right now.

What do you think?

Heres what I got. If I remember right they are 2". After I lifted my truck I had to fill the ugly void and these fit the bill nicely, plus if you have short friends or family members they can use the steps to get in.

Nice but I dont rock crawl and the steps dont drop to much below the frame so I'm sticking with UGLY VOID

 

I have the 2" N-fabs. The 3" look like they may set closer to the truck. I didn't want them at all but wifey needed to get in truck.

 

Subscribing because I am in the same boat.. looking to get Nfabs and no clue b/w 2" and 3"

 

I have the 2". Paid like 304shipped and I am pleased.

 

To start - I love the steps, good choice. I put the 2" on my 2010 DC LB and in hind sight I would go with the 3". I think the longer wheel base needs the bigger tube. Now if your and regular or access 2's might look good, maybe even on a DC SB but I tend to think the DC needs 3's.

 

I have the 2" and I really like them. The 3" tubes look too big to me. I have no regrets.

Can't decide either. The 2" are cheaper and seems you could clean better between them and the truck. Any thoughts?
