I got some spark plugs put in the ol girl, NGK V-Power. I'm just going to buy some bulk spark plug wire and boots and make my own wires cause I'm particular about how it looks.

Get a set of MSD universal 8.5 Super conductor spark plug wires , that's what I'm running on my 427sbc along with DEI spark plug wire heat sleeves

Good call, do you have a good tool recommendation for crimping?

Alright, tiny update, I'm working on the transmission parts right now. But I tossed the radiator on and measured for some accessory bracket things so I can get the rest of the engine together. I'm currently in the middle of wiring a new build in a 66 Chevelle so things are kinda slow with my own project. Been doing tons of heavy cabling for remote battery and kill-switch things. Honestly I love wiring and I'm the only one locally that will take an unknown vehicle with whatever parts are on it and wire it up.... but fuck is it time consuming.

Figured I should furnish a couple pics of the extracurricular work since I can't ante up on the Squarebody just yet. So here's some quick pics of the beginning of the Chevelle wiring.

Wow that was a clean Square! I've got a soft spot for the dually trucks, the design is just great with the body lines. 4x4 dually isn't seen often around my part of the country

Does your parts guy have intakes? Looking for a ls6 or ls1 intake to replace the vortex truck intake. Mostly just for the looks of it.

I know he doesn't have an LS1 or LS6 intake. Right now its cheaper to bu a fabricated intake than the LS6 manifolds since Dorman is having trouble getting any of them to the US right now.

Why not go with a fabricated intake , you'll get better performance

Okay, so I finally found a damn accessory bracket company that makes shit that fits. There's only like 60+ years of legacy in the Big Block line... You'd think this would be easier haha. Pay no attention at all to the power steering bracket that doesn't even come close to fitting and instead fix your eyes on the alternator bracket that does fit haha. I need to keep the accessories out of the way in front of the exhaust ports since the turbo logs put the wastegates there.

Just because we have engines scattered all over, here's a picture of how the turbo log mounts on one of the other big blocks in the shop, you can see why I need a little space.

I don’t really need the added power. I just hate how the truck intakes look but not enough to spend a ton of money on it. Otherwise I’d buy a fast intake and throttle body probably haha. Hopping to make about 450 with the bore, cam, headers, and tune.
