That's a horrible idea. What time?
It made a very hot coal fire and the food cooked quick. Less fuel next time. The chimney effect on that thing is incredible, no heat loss out the side for cooking.

As a side note … We’re gonna need to start an VA/Nova ADV/Dual Sport motorcycle group. It seems like every day I’m meeting someone new with one.

I don't know. I join then turn off notifications because I don't really like riding in a big group. Just one or 2 friends is fine for me.

What do you mean not shifting? I have the manual version.. There are 4: Base manual, base auto, adventure sport manual, adventure sport auto. Its not a real bike if you're not shifting. I dont even wave at scooters and those dumb 3 wheeled things

I’m lucky, my riding buddy lives with me but I always enjoy seeing new bikes/friendly faces.

Sounds like you should look to see if the other “bike” has a shifter before you wave too :notsure:. I enjoy waving at scooters, seems like both parties always get a kick out of it haha.

Just give in, full-sized life is awesome aside from navigating tight areas and shitty MPG. The interior is so comfortable and roomy and it's nice having a decent sized bed for truck things.

Oh, this tundra is in a league of its own, I've yet to see over 13 mpg. Granted I'm mostly doing city driving since I'm still working from home most days so it's to be expected, plus winter blend gas. Plus now with this new exhaust I can't keep my foot out of it. It sounds so damn good.

Yeah I don't really go into the city anymore fortunately, and don't plan on changing that any time soon...

I'm still not sure about MPG with my truck...I've been getting 15ish per tank recently but I got like 21 driving from here to Maine with a kayak and full bed...I just don't know what to think haha

At some point I will get a full size, it will just be a matter if it's in addition to the tacoma or a replacement (in the future).

Well well well...turns out I didn't need a special discontinued tool...but a special CV axle, since it's the hybrid model:frusty:. Sure made sense 15 years ago when gas was ~$4/gal. and certainly got more than my $$$ worth out these stock parts.
Here's where I was by 11am Sunday...I'll save the thread the pain and just say it's still in my FiL's garage...Rear has been done since Saturday before lunch. The front passenger side was all put together, minus putting on the new rotors and brake pads by dinner Sunday.

Aside from the normal rusted and rotted and the similar issues one would expect to find with OEM parts after 194K, two were particularly time consuming and stubborn, I'm talking to you recessed allen key and shaft of the rear right shock bolt, and the front passenger control arm bolt seized to the ball joint sleeve (ended up gnarling out the top captured nut that got beat up while trying to break this thing free, fyi we couldn't even get it to with a 3/4" pneumatic impact wrench...had to use the breaker bar + big ass cheater bar.)...most everything else was par for the course.

just to fuel potentially expensive decisions, navigating tight areas can be fun too. might be one of the more fun parts about driving large vehicles

Drove one of the few buses with a fuel gauge today (which is funny in and of itself, only like 3-4 of them have it and its only accessible looking in the fuel door. otherwise, they have absolutely no fuel gauge) and after the bus being out for x4 3hr shifts at about 40 miles each shift, 1/2 of a 125 gallon tank was consumed. 160 miles / (0.5 * 125 gallon) = 2.5 mpg lolol.

makes me feel a tad better about my 4runner getting 13 on winter gas
