Man, that really BITES!! So, it looks like all three panels incurred damage? Any idea on what the truck is worth?

I feel your pain, but the chances of any insurance company re-painting the whole truck are very close to zero. The best you can hope for is the whole passenger side - which you should push for.

 

I hate to be the negative one of the bunch, but that amount of damage + the age/mileage of your truck = They may total it out?

But with truck prices right now, who knows? If you own it out right, you get to buy it back from them if you want.

 

Sorry your truck got hit, don't try and open that passenger door, it may cause more damage to the fender!!!

 

Truck is worth about $12K; Front fender unharmed...

If that's the case take the inner panel off and kick the door back out, pocket the money and drive it!!! You don't get in on that side anyway so you don't have to see it

Door panel and rear fender. You should be gtg.

You’ll basically have 70% new truck now.

 

I have no experience in auto body but it seems like the door took most of the blow with a little bit on the rear body panel. I got in an accident in my old Cruze 3 years back going 15ish. It broke the bumper, bent up the front fender a tad, and bent the wheel which maybe tweaked the suspension on that side. It got a new bumper, headlight, fog light, wheel, miscellaneous parts and maybe suspension parts along with a respray of the hood and passenger door along with painting the new parts. If the bags deployed it would have been a different story. If I remember correctly it was $3500+ to fix it and the guy at faults insurance covered it. I just did a quick pricing of the Cruze and it's only worth $5k tops if sold privetly even in today's inflated market. I wouldn't be too worried if your truck is worth $12k.

 

Outfit like that, perhaps they'll just cover your repair out of pocket. @PennSilverTaco What made your Papa think you might get a complete paint job out of the deal? Something they said? That would be cool, if so but if not, since you seem to be planning on hanging on to it for a long time, Might be worth negotiating with the shop that does the work and pay the extra to get the whole truck done.
