Hi all! Finally pulled the plug :) Found an almost used truck that went up on craigslist and had to snatch it up!

Its a 2009 Tacoma Access cab SR5. White in color, and cheesy as hell "commuter" wheels/tires. It only had 15k miles on it, so I opted to bump up and get the 100k mile warranty thats bumper to bumper.

That said... what voids the warranty? I didnt even think about this but will I be allowed to:

A: Add an aftermarket airfilter? Even like a TRD airfilter?
    B: Swap wheels/tires?
    C: Do a small/reasonable lift? Say a few inches.

    Thanks in advance guys.

DOn't forget that all states have laws regarding vehicle warranties. YMMV depending on region.

i.e. Ford (at least used to) void warranty if you changed your own oil, but its 50 state illegal to do so. Doesn't mean they can't work it that way. Just means they have to honor the state law to sell cars.

Usually the burden of proof is on the warranter to show that your modifications damaged the vehicle. And by usually, I believe the mm act says so. But if state law doesn't support it, good luck. Federal law says you won't be modifying your car.. You see how that gets enforced.

    Thanks island, appreciate that.

I guess i have the smaller SR5 model, and I'm looking to put a SLIGHTLY taller tire/wheel package together. I just dont know how much to get it lifted. I'd personally like it to sit about 1" taller than the v6 model's stock height.

Careful, I believe that the Magnusson Moss Act ONLY applies to Manufacturer warrantees, NOT aftermarket warrantees. Aftermarket warrantees are pretty much dictated by the contract that you sign.

IOW, you need to read the contract/terms to understand what is/isn't included and what they say about mods.
