To clarify I didn't actually have to fuck with the snakes after grabbing them. That was a whole other dude who made belts and hats and shit.

Rather deal with the big not sneaky things than the ones you wake and they're right freaking next to you.

Years ago I was sleeping on a rock next to a creek and woke up to a snek beside me. No bites occurred, and it got away safe, too!

They just asked me to teach an OffRoad class with our wildland brush trucks and go over winching, negotiating obstacles, how to use 4x4. Yee yee! Time to get some trucks stuck!

That should be fun! Off camber + shifting water weight + brush fire obstacles...

I need to learn how to use 4x4. It's been so long I've forgotten which way to turn the knob! Too High and For Low, right?

We need pictures of brush trucks. Some of my local FD’s used have a Scottsdale and a Humvee. Don’t know if they still do or not, but they were badass.

Here's our Chevy 2500.. it's not a full fledged brush truck, but it does the job. We've got an older Chevy diesel military truck that we acquired from Forestry. Gotta finish plumbing that one before it goes in service.

We have two f350s. The 7.3 has a box on the back with cafs pump. The 6.0 has a regular bed with a skid unit. We have a f450 dually with a skid unit that they use for command truck on prescribed fires. Nothing super special. We had a Polaris ranger 1000 crew cab with a skid unit but it couldn’t handle the water weight and broke drive belts, so they converted it to OffRoad patient transport vehicle.
Looks awesome! I’ve seen some Unimog brush trucks when I did wildland out west. Really awesome.

Sweet! Does the Polaris 1000 have any lift or bigger than factory tires ?
