I tried it. It seems to only be for $5 I like to really think I did something wrong. It identified the code. The only thing I didn’t do is actually pay. I tried the code on a desktop without paying as well and saw a $5 difference. I emailed them and am waiting to hear

Seems that its now factoring in taxes for some folks where before it was not. Price now is 30-40 more than before. after that factors in.

Correct, we have no control over which states now require sales tax to be charged to the customer.

Sounds good thanks Eric. Mainly a note of the change in price on my end if anyone noticed a higher cost. Besides tax the pricing is similar to before.

Package off to a friend's house this time around. Thanks, @EricRippSuperchargers for bringing these back online for us.

@12TRDTacoma says they can be with an assortment of extensions and swivels. He had it posted somewhere in the thread. Similar to replacing sparkplugs without removing the blower.

I thought the swivels were only needed to take the plugs out

Is there a hydraulic press you recommend? Or what size? I was looking into buying one last year for the s/c rebuild but decided against it at the time. Will likely try the rebuild myself now if I can find all the right tools

A lot of people like the one from Harbor Freight. They aren't that expensive, and seem to hold up ok. Northern Tool has a nice one as well.

I use them to put them in as well. My methods are a bit unorthodox and would probably be frowned upon by people like Tor, Doc, and even Roost, but I've been doing it a certain way so long that it doesn't even matter to me whether I do it the right way or what they would consider "the wrong way." I go for speed and what's efficient to me, not what would be better to do. So if I'm wrong I don't want to be right. :D

Just make sure the one you get will comfortably fit the whole SC snout physically to press out. Obviously you need a good size set of sockets. I found that the Tacoma front wheel hub locknuts are the perfect size to press those SC bearings in and still have room to fit inside the snout.

I’m not talking about the spark plugs……..I just want to know if the ignition coils can be put in without taking the blower off.

the center one on the drivers side was the tightest squeeze iirc. if ripp are physically the exact same size it could be done. i changed my plugs yesterday in 2hrs 14min. blower off and on with new tb gaskets. and thats with all my methanol lines in the way. never liked forcing stress on the coils with blower on plug removal. my reason for pulling it.

The RIPP coils being out is what's driving me towards the SC rebuild tbh. Cause if I gotta take off the SC, I'm doing other things while I'm at it
